This is a mindset that I find hard to comprehend. I've seen this over and over on this forum, and it always seems to take the same form: "If you don't agree with my world view, you're a .gov shill". Stackerken has NEVER given any of us ANY indication that he works for the .gov, that he's pushing the TPTB "agenda", or that he is anything other than what he says he is... a good-hearted surfer Jesus freak who doesn't really care all that much for "conspiracy theories" or getting too involved with the workings of the world.

2 on a scale of 1 to 10 and they have 15 heats to run.

the surf in Tahiti today is about a 2-3 foot ground swell, maybe 2.5 feet @ 15 seconds.

so it's not classic 10 foot Teahupoo like it was for the trials.

if i was the contest director i would just wait for the wind to calm down and start running 45 minute heats. or use the dual-heat format with 1 hour heats. just something so the guys each get at least 2 decent waves in a heat.

they don't have many options, with 2 days left. but it's not exactly a tragedy, they are in a tropical paradise.
