It looked like iron in that one cloe up.

I wonder what other impurities could be in there.... anything radioactive?

I would not touch anything from China or Russia.

Is this guy just realizing that short changing the quantity of gold and silver in a coin is the oldest trick in the book? he keeps repeating, 'but this is from Central Bank, this is big deal...." LOL


Dude, the Romans beat you to it by a couple thousand years.

As if the Communist Politburo in Russia would mint 22k gold coins for the peasants of Russia to barter with.

Dumb question, but anyone think to break out a scale?

No mention of weighing them, the only coin to be tested got lost, and a bullion dealer simply walks away from a situation where someone tells them gold is corrosive, and was not stored properly, and still no tested coin.

Something seems very odd here either way.

Yea, weigh them and check the specs, even do an acid test on 'em
