Watermelon has a lot more "give" to it than a bowling ball does.
Which is why it exploded upon impact.
i.e. it gave, her face didn't.

I like how the other chic is all like "hey, you's got to keep going" and watermelon face is all like "WTF, REALLY? I just took a melon to the face" and the other chic is all "yeah, well, cowboy up, its just some fruit, now go get that knight!"

Saw the same thing happen with a buddy, but it was an egg and a water balloon slingshot. The shells cut his face pretty good. It was pretty funny though.

Oh you KNOW she felt it viejo, but if it would've been a bowling ball.....it could've killed her, if not it would fractured her face....that watermelon came from together, a bowling ball would've stayed intact :o

She should thank God for giving her the reflexes to turn her face to the cheek side or else her nose would have been flattened. She may sustain a neck injury from that. ah well, such are the breaks for playing with high energy projectile weapons. You know the same thing occasionally happened on the medieval battlefield.
