Robert de Niro reflected on current events in his speech for lifetime achievement in the Golden Globe awards (presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association) this evening (Sunday).

I'm going by memory here, a paraphrased quote, but he sarcastically commented: 'I thank the few foreign press who have not been deported yet, and that goes for most of of the catering staff. And for the rest of us, Homeland Security will be waiting at the doors as we leave to check our papers and put us through full body scans.'

Good for him. No reaction from the tinseled crowd other than mutterings during the catering staff comment that indicated hearing talk of Mexican illegals is unwanted. Hard to describe but I think everyone knows what I'm describing. It was not either for or against what de Niro said, just like a conditioned politically correct displeasure relfex murmur when the topic was brought up. They have not been conditioned to react to talk of the fascist take-over of the country so those comments were ignored.
