2 men accused of robbing a 72-year-old woman at her East Side home

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 31-year-old Garfield Heights man and a 30-year-old Cleveland man are accused of robbing a 72-year-old woman at her Cleveland home.
Vance Menefee and Glenn Block are charged with aggravated burglary, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and having a gun after a felony conviction.
Prosecutors say they went to the woman's Wyatt Road house about 8:30 p.m. Dec 7 and knocked on her door. She recognized them as acquaintances of her 52-year-old stepdaughter.
"The victim had small talk with the defendants before one of them got behind her, grabbed her throat and told her he had a gun," prosecutor's spokesman Ryan Miday said.
They pushed her to the floor and ransacked the house while demanding money.
They forced her into a bathroom, where one of them punched her in the face.
They gagged her, tied her feet and hands together and put her in the bathtub.
The duo left with $200 and coins from several jars.
The victim freed herself and called police.
Menefee will be arraigned Wednesday.
Block will be arraigned Sept. 20.
They face up to 35 years in prison.
