Halifax police investigating another weekend swarming

Halifax police are investigating another swarming to add to their growing list of violent attacks in the same area of the city.

"We got third-hand information about a guy being assaulted on the weekend," Const. Brian Palmeter of Halifax Regional Police said Thursday.

"It’s not a new incident. He didn’t even report it to us. But basically we got information, we followed up on it, we located (him) and it turns out that yes, he was assaulted in a manner that’s similar to the other ones."

A man and a woman were walking in the area of Agricola and Harris streets on Saturday night when they were approached by a group of six or seven black males. A person in the group said something to the man, and when the woman responded, the group attacked the man, police said.

The woman tried to intervene and was assaulted, too. She escaped and eventually both victims went to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with cuts and bruises, Palmeter said.

As a result of the information, which police received Wednesday night, they found a report of the assault on the woman. The man hadn’t filed anything, police said.

Given the nature of the attacks, where they happened and the timing, police believe the assaults may be connected to six others that happened over the long weekend.

Two teenagers were arrested after a swarming Monday but were later released without charges.

Police have stepped up patrols in the area and have a team of investigators working on the case, Palmeter said.

Another swarming-style robbery of two 18-year-old men on the Halifax Commons on Wednesday night is not believed to be related to the weekend assaults.

Could be, there's lots of Haitians (but mostly in Quebec) Somalis, and Jamaicans. Canada has become a diversity/multi-culturist's wet dream.

This is far more common than people think, everywhere, Europe, Australia,
USA, Canada, they hate white people, Europeans, Christians, it will only get

Next to you in a legally configured manner in your car or by your side = useless piece in CA. You might as well open carry or conceal a can opener. Now packing in Cali in a non-legally configured manner may afford you some actual protection.

I feel for you folks living in California and other states that do not allow you your second amendment rights.
