Obama Gives $850 Million to Whites-Only Colleges to Boost Number of White Graduates

President Obama today announced that the taxpayers would be giving $850 million to colleges across America that only serve the white American community as part of his kick-start of the National Historically White Colleges and Universities Week (HWCU).

Speaking to a group of leading European American academics at the White House today, President Obama told the whites that they “have a partner in me.”

He pledged to throw the full support of his administration behind their efforts to improve graduation rates and prepare as many white students as possible for the challenges of the twenty-first century workplace.

“You’ve got a partner in me and a partner in the Department of Education,” Obama said in brief remarks to the group.

The president said HWCUs are known for making it “possible for millions of people to achieve their dreams.”

He said the institutions in years past gave many young people “a chance that nobody else would give them.”

He said he expects the colleges and universities to help him reach his goal that the U.S. by 2020 will lead the world in the number of college graduates.

You have “waged war against illiteracy and ignorance and won,” Obama said, adding that historically white institutions have “made it possible for millions of people to achieve their dreams.”

In February, the president signed an executive order establishing an initiative designed, among other things, to boost the participation of traditionally white colleges and universities in a variety of federal programs.

It also aims to strengthen various public-private partnerships at those institutions. The initiative is based out of the Department of Education.

* Note to the reader: Are you shocked at this piece of news? You should be.

The above report is a verbatim compilation of reports which appeared today on CNN, USA Today, and the UPI newswire — except that where the word “white” appears above, the actual word was “black.”

The “Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week” (HBCU) did start today, and Obama did promise these blacks-only institutions some $850 million in subsidies during a meeting to launch the week in the White House.

The blatant anti-white bias in both the federal government and the media could not be any clearer.

A white president who announced that taxpayers’ money was going to a whites-only educational institution would be run out of town as a “racist” — but a black president giving taxpayers’ money to blacks-only colleges is something praiseworthy.

The American Third Position demands an end to these anti-white affirmative action set asides.

We demand equality before the law, and not special status for any one group, especially set-asides which are in effect simple anti-white discrimination.

There is a blatant doubel standard. It is as if blacks are saying: "we are inferior and need special privileges to compete."

I am amazed that all these black groups are allowed to exist in this age of tolerance and universiality.

I happened to peruse a West Point site showing cadet admissions from all the states. One black female cadet had a membership in a society of Black Engineers. Hmmmm.... I wonder if they have any special knowledge of engineering that whites don't have.

All government jobs- including the academies- have quotas to fill. Qualification has been submitted to race first.

This racist crap really has gone too far.

Thanks, AndreaGail. This is one I think we can all agree on.

I used to play pool with a pool shark and after the break he would say "take any 3 balls off the table". I never wanted to and never did. The way I saw it, if I did win*, I wanted to win because I WON based on my skills, not because I had a 3 ball advantage.

My point is, if I had won because of that 3 ball advantage, does that really mean that I am as good of a player as he was? Absolutely not, obviously. So why would anyone think that affirmative action, race/gender quotas, or anything else of the sort would make an affirmative action college graduate as qualified as a "regular" college graduate? (Although I am sure there are some exceptions.)

Everyone needs a hand up every now and then. I have needed one, and my dad was there for me. I have also offered a helping hand to my siblings when they needed it. Hand outs, on the other hand (pardon the pun) . . . are poisonous to all of us. Hand outs turn the beneficiaries into leeches, even if they never intended to be a leech. Hand outs turn the producers (that's us) into bitter, angry people with hearts of stone.

And just so you know where I believe the blame really belongs . . . can you really always blame the leech when the government/PTB provide an open wound for it to thrive on?

* I never did win, but I was close a couple of times. Those times wouldn't have been nearly as exciting or rewarding if I had a 3 ball advantage.

I agree with what you said. Everybody at some point in their lives have received some sort of hand-out/bailout. When I was in my 20's, I needed and received hand-outs/bailouts from my parents for being a dumb-ass with finances during that time. However, the parental hand-outs/bailouts did not work for me because I ended up making the same mistakes when I was in my late 20's (by getting into debt again). When my parents stopped giving me handouts 10+ years ago, then that made me stronger because I had to be responsible for myself and as a result I am self-sufficient and have been so for 10 years. If people keep getting hand-outs for whatever reason, then that will make that person who is receiving the handouts a much weaker person and that person will eventually become a leech in society.

At some point, people just have to realize that they are ultimately responsible for themselves and they have to suffer the consequences for the dumb-ass moves that they made in life. One thing that I learned while I was in my late 20's was that continuing to give a man a fish does not make that man know how to fish. I am responsible for fishing for my own fish to sustain myself in life. Being independent and not relying on anybody is the greatest thing in my opinion.

Affirmative action might have gotten people through the door but affirmative action does not change the fact that a person still has to be able to do the job that they got hired for. Affirmative action does no make a person more qualified. If I get a job, I want it to be because I have demonstrated that I was actually capable of doing the job not because of some affirmative action program based on the color of my skin.

When I said "this is something we I think we can all agree on", I was thinking about you, specifically. We had a conversation about this very subject, and I know where you stand. I don't want to get a job (or lose one) just because of how I look, that's why I was so happy that my last employer hired me over the phone. And I know you were hired over the phone too!
