Whew! What a crazy day on the forum, eh? :o

Unfortunately, as I've indicated to JQP in a PM, I haven't been here much today, and I won't be here much at all tomorrow... it's looking like Friday is the first I'll probably be able to take a "breather" and show up here for posts, PM's, and moderating.

I am currently finishing some work that's kept me busy for the last month or so, and its reached "deadline" status - it's Friday or die. Well, not quite die... but unfortunatly I'm simultaneously trying to shake off some kind of really bad cold/allergy/upper respiratory thing - so death is probably an option on the table. My life has been NO fun at all this week!

Folks, while I'm gone (I'll try and "check in" at least once tomorrow, probably in the early afternoon), please don't go too wild on JohnQPublic and conspiracy theories - I would REALLY, REALLY like the opportunity to chat with him in the back-room forum and go over some of the things I posted about WebTech, and find out more about this server backup issue last night before jumping to any major conclusions.

I personally find the timing of the backup problem to be suspicious, but at the same time please keep this in mind: If JQP had erased posts intentionally to keep my post from coming to light, he could have done it again, and banned or warned me to keep further posting from happening again. Since he did none of those things, and has allowed my 2 posts about the issue to stay, I'm MUCH more inclined to think he is telling the truth about the server backup problem, particularly since he posted an image of the error page in response to Dysgenic's requests. However, I am not 100% convinced of ANYTHING yet, other than the fact that I find the evidence against WebTech to be far too overwhelming and convincing to just write off as coincidences or misunderstandings. Time will tell with respect to JQP and this forum, but unfortunately that is something I won't have enough of until Friday to converse with him and make a proper evaluation of the facts. Until then, try not to send this place up in flames... ;D

I can't commend you enough for your integrity and your balls. You have officially been elevated to the status of 'my favorite non-christian of alltime'. I want to point something out to you and the rest of the forum that is extremely disturbing from where I sit. I refer you to John's recent comments pertaining to board issues:

Let's take a look at what he has to say pertaining to the saboteur:

Take a look at the bolded part of the quote. That statement is false. The reason that it is false is that your allegations were made prior to the 'database error'. It sure looks to me like John is trying to intentionally comingle 2 seperate forum issues in order to establish a correlation that doesn't exist. To recap:

1. You post allegations concerning Mayhem.
2. John doesn't respond directly, but does publicly announce his support of Mayhem here:

Hmm. What about all the links Magnes has posted? What about your posted allegations? Doesn't it seem strange that John would choose to publicly declare his support of a FORMER mod that left in disgrace over a highly respected and capable CURRENT mod (you). John chose to address your allegations not by looking into them or even saying he would look into them, but by publicly supporting Mayhem.

3. After the 'database backup' suspiciously memory holed several hours worth of posts, and after at least 2 members complained of improprieties of PM deletion, thread modification and partial deletion, etc... John announced at least twice that concerned members were guilty of 'paranoia'. He also repeatedly downplayed the significance of the events. Then he deleted my thread asking him about the saboteur (but called it something else). Finally, he tried to comingle seperate issues that shouldn't be comingled.

Does anyone here actually believe that all of this avoidance and obfuscation is indicative of someone with the best interests of the forum at heart? You decide, the facts speak for themselves.

I have lots of links, that is Ulysses/Immanti on gim talking. I am not the
only one that thinks so, we know these trolls, I give credit. That was without

FYI To the forum:

There are 2 seperate issues to evaluate:

1. Gaillo's allegations of a saboteur.
These allegations were posted prior to the failed database backup.
2. The failed database backup and the controversy surrounding it.
This happened after Gaillo had already posted the allegations. The allegations had nothing to do with the failed database backup (it hadn't even happened yet).

UPDATE:

Just finished my work project, as of about 15 minutes ago. Still feeling ill, although I only used half a box of Kleenex today... instead of the full 2 boxes the 2 previous days. I'm off to (hopefully) have a good night's sleep... don't expect to hear from me before 3:00PM tomorrow... I'm that tired.
