Hello again, fellow GS-US'ers !

The last few days have been quite a stressful time for all of us here, and I'm no exception.

Earlier today, after failing to receive any word from JQP after attempts to communicate, and after seeing my "TheRiotAct" poll disappear during the server transition, I had pretty much "thrown in the towel" and decided to part ways with this forum. I figured that if the forum owner could not see the problems that I was trying to bring to light, and did not even see fit to mention that threads had been lost during the move, then he was probably complicit in sabotage and/or completely incompetent and not worthy of ANY of our support. I sent a number of PM's to people who wrote me, asking why I was not here, explaining the above and why I would most likely not be posting here any more.

I am here now to happily admit that I was wrong. Not only has JQP written a post where he admits that threads have been lost in the move, he has offered to find them in the backup database and post PDF copies of them where requested. Shortly after this, he finally got back to me... with some important news.

This is the gist of it: The Riot Act is no longer going to be participating in this forum, under "The Riot Act" name or any other... he is gone for good. Thank you everyone who posted in the poll, showing your support for my unwavering conviction that he was a negative and possibly destructive element of this forum. The final tally 42-0 (when I last checked the poll) sent a strong and unmistakable message.

Now, I need to say something about this. The Riot Act has asked JQP to relay to me his request for an apology, for overreacting and blowing things out of proportion. This is the closest that I am willing to get to such a thing:

To "The Riot Act" - while it is true that all of the offenses against this forum that you have been accused of committing by MAGNES, myself, and a number of other members are, in all likelihood, impossible to prove scientifically, with 100% certainty, and with complete transparency and clear documentation, the fact remains that the circumstancial evidence is OVERWHELMING that you have at least committed some of the acts in question. At the very LEAST, you have inflamed this forum, made a LOT of enemies here, and don't seem to "click" with the membership here in an even remotely harmonious manner (the 42-0 poll shows that quite clearly!). You have also been caught red-handed in plagiarism here, and lying about doing it. What I WILL give you is this concession: I apologize for anything that you have been accused of by myself that you did NOT perpetrate on this forum, and if evidence ever does surface that you are innocent of any particular offense then you can expect a full, heart-felt, and genuinely sincere apology from me with regard to that accusation.

To those few of you who I replied to PM's stating that I would probably not be around, I also apologize to you for misleading you - what I wrote was true at the time, and was based on all the facts I had at my disposal at the time I wrote them.

After I read the content of JQP's communication, I asked him if he still wants me to remain in a moderator capacity on this forum, he replied and his answer was that he does. Consequently, I've decided to stick around, at least for the time being, and see how things go.

These are stressful times for this forum, but also exciting times in a way... we have just completed a successful transfer from a slow P.O.S. shared server to a fast dedicated one, and a VBulletin conversion is shortly behind - according to JQP as fast as he can accomplish it! Let's stick together, at least for now, and see where this whole thing goes. ;)

Finally - to everyone who supported me during this whole thing: THANK YOU!!!!

Be well, everyone - and try not to let this marvelous electronic "matrix" interfere with your REAL lives!
-Gaillo

Good reply, I don't think you don't need the support of Magnes in particular though.

You called as it was, feel your individual power Modman.

If its as balanced as it appears to me, there's nothing for any of us to worry about.

Gaillo,

I am just glad that you have decided to stay on GSUS. You have a lot of support from the GSUS community and if you had decided to leave GSUS, then that would have left a gaping hole in the GSUS community. I (and most posters) want just to move on and to just make GSUS to be the best gold and silver forum that it has the potential to be. Thank you for staying with GSUS and thank you for doing a wonderful job of making sure that we all behave ourselves.

Just a quick clarification- this is not a dedicated server. We are on a shared server, but one set-up specifically for forums (and actually specifically optimized for VB). It costs quite a bit more than GoDadddy, but [hopefully] it is one of thoses cases of 'you get what you pay for'. If we need to upgrade to better shared services, we have 2 levels to go upwards, and virtual private server is also migratable with no interruption.

Most importantly, I'm glad Gaillo reconsidered!

Here's the question that popped into my mind while reading the OP:

If Webtech/Mayhem/Theriotact/etc is so good with computers and hiding his identity, how will you be able to keep him banned? I understand that he has come back multiple times from various IP addresses and proxies. What is to keep him from continuing to do so? I am a complete computer idiot, but even I know that I could have one sock puppet at work, one at home and one at the library and none of you would ever know the difference. Someone with skills like The riot act would be able to do many times the mischief I could.

Take a look at the forum members list and the time registered and post counts of a bunch of members that
are on this forum, that joined early but have 0 to a few posts.

There are a lot of them, some have joined and lurk and do not care to post then one wonders how many of those quite members are sock puppet id's just waiting to be used?

Some may have been created to make the forum's total membership larger than it is, who knows?

But I bet some of those registered member names are puppets waiting to be used.

Just a thought!

Man, some poeple think way too far ahead when planning to cause trouble. With me, trouble making is a spur of the moment decision.

I always assumed they were people who were hedging their bets between this place and the duece to see which way they would end up. Either that, or people who want to be able to read the members only sections. If your theory is correct, then we have some really bored whackos here.

Ok...
Two issues to address here - the likelihood of Mayhem returning, and the "vote" to get rid of him.

#1 - It is true that someone with the technical proficiency and knowledge of Mayhem cannot easily be kept out of a forum like this, which is why in my discussions with JQP I asked him to discuss the possibility with Mayhem of voluntarily "exiting" this place for the good of the forum. Now, while I'm under no illusion that Mayhem is altruistic and wants us all to thrive and prosper, I do think that he and JQP have enough of a dialog and past history working on the technical side of this forum theta JQP might have some "pull" with the guy and could maybe convince him that it is in all our best interest that he leave. He has a distinctive posting style, certain IP "patterns" that I've learned to recognize, and a history here and on GIM1 that makes him recognizeable by other members here... In short, I'm hoping he realizes that it's a "zero sum" game to keep operating here adding to his "sock drawer". Time will tell.

#2 - There was never any "vote" to get rid of Mayhem... It was from the time I posted my "outing" thread a situation where JQP supported me in getting rid of the guy or I leave as moderator. The poll I posted was for one purpose only... to show JQP that I and a few other members were not just paranoid about some guy on the forum, and that it was the overwhelming feeling of the entire forum that the guy was bad news for this place. The poll results vindicated this opinion, and sent a very powerful message to that effect. I made all of this clear in the poll, hopefully JQP will have the time in the next few days in between the VB conversion process to find he poll and post a .PDF copy of it, for those who didn't have a chance to see it.

In any case, I'm hoping this thread will be one of the last hardcore "drama threads" on the forum, I'm quite honestly as tired of it all as you all probably are. It is the nature of a forum like this to have some pretty major differences and occasional hot tempers, but the last week or two have been particularly volatile.

Here's looking to the future - whatever shape it might take! ;)

Art of War, keep known enemies close.

You know what to look for in this one, if you strive to eradicate him completely, a new and more formidable one will most likely arise. ;)

Keep the perma-ban in place, If he comes back under another handle, he comes back.

Sometimes an old dog can learn to keep his nose out of trouble, and if he doesn't, than just ban him again.

Simple.

You've already stated somewhere the most damning of torts "you or me". So, don't eat your words, or you will become tiny.

Mayhem is the deceiver here that should be apologizing.

He banned me for no reason, lied about who banned me and why.
Stated that I disclosed personal information. I had links showing
that one of his sockpuppets blaming the other and vice versa.
Both playing dumb.

Where is my apology from the parasite.

As far as disclosing personal information , mayhem did that on agora
and he had/has access to all of your personal information on here.

How can you trust someone like that ?

Also, he really does have 10 plus lying and deceiving sock puppets on here.
And you can be sure he has more on here right now hidden.

Mayhem on agora posted Juristic Persons personal information.
This is why I never trusted him as mayhem.

He was outed has Ulysses/Immanti on here and knew JP and MP,
they were communicating in PM or email to f*ck up gim and they
did a good job.

" JPerson=Veritas ARE the same person that I know.

His name is R.. B...... and lives in Phoenix AZ.

I know of his uncle. " MAYHEM ON AGORA

Who wants the real full name. ?

He posts on gim unmolested, he is working for them.

MAYHEM IS ULYSSES, we know who we are reading on here,
word for word, special freak of nature, he would be motivated
to wear 10 masks and f*ck with everyone here.

Whoever can't see what mayhem did on here from day one
on here is stupid.

Mayhem could not control his hatred when he was mod on here
and showed it to many members here, many many members complained.

And it just goes on and on, f*ck YOU MAYHEM/ULYSSES !

You put a gun in my face , f*ck OFF !

John has never answered any of my questions as well. Never.

The blood sucking parasite wants an apology. ROFL !

" THE JEW SCREAMS OUT IN PAIN AS IT STRIKES YOU " Old Polish Proverb

" some animals really are more equal than others "

Mayhem is using VPN on here to troll, what more do you f*cken need to know.

f*ck OFF MAYHEM !

WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE TOO !

Good questions , you can't keep him out and never will, but John needs to know
what his buddy is doing on here, and ask, what motivates him ? When he was
Freedom42 on here, I stated, " sounds like someone I know ", and he removed
account soon after that, the technical knowledge is greater than most on computers,
he builds websites or does something similar, who the hell uses technical language,
the difference in standards , he is in that industry somehow, what Gaillo is busting
him for is using VPN, that is easy as far as I know, but you have to pay for it,
and you can make your IP look like anything, maybe even spoof, now this is an
admission of a professional troll, using VPN and paying for it to troll, how many
of us do that. I ain't paying 50 bucks a month to troll like a moron. Why him ?

Glad to see that you've rode the storm out and are stickin' around Gaillo, you've indeed proven to be the best best moderator, hands down, I've yet to encounter.

My take on Gaillo.
You are all real people to Gaillo, with real names and identities to be respected and protected.
Gaillo isn't just being the best mod on here, Gaillo is looking out for the members here,
he is sincere and honest and concerned, he showed this on gim near the end and
last days and the same concerns motivate him here. He is looking out for all of you.
I see that in his open posts to the members here , but in PM and email I had.
When I sent him my log in information in email he was very interested.
That ain't no glitch. Using Sir against me, some one got a bright idea.
That same someone runs around telling everyone they are "moonbats" ,
and "you need help dude".

Gaillo put up with a lot of sh*t on here.
I want to say more. John are you listening ?

That witch will never be dead on here, but John needs to be shown,
that mayhem was/is Ulssyes/Immanti on gim, he does not know.
Older gim posters are quiet too, speak up now , if not now when,
most are tired, they don't want to do it again, I feel the same way,
I won't be doing it again on "another" forum.

I have less respect for Gkhan and crew now since outing mayhem as Ulysses.
They all know, always knew. They took our money and spit in our faces.
