For all those who thought last week's "dramatic" improvement in the ratio of insider selling to buying from 650:1 to "just" 290:1 was a sign things are turning and insiders may soon be selling only 100 or so times more stock per week than buying, we have some bad news. According to Bloomberg, the latest ratio of insider selling to buying was 1,411 to 1. Let us repeat: 1,411 to 1. Needless to say, corporate insiders are totally buying the Fed reflation story, and the economic recovery. Like, totally.

could be a good contrarian sign! seriously that's an astonishingly high ratio. but then i think of the stock market during weimar, perhaps we'll be at dow 100,000 before the end of the year. you can't eat gold :whistle, i know.

i saw that article. pretty amazing ratio.
it certainly contradicts the stock-market-is-going-up news story. Denninger & Zero Hedge do a pretty good job of explaining HFT & other games to run stock prices up & down & to fake trading volume.
in short, our stock market is kind of like the Matrix - REAL virtual.
i wonder how many of those insiders selling are putting the resulting FRN's into PM's ?

I don't want to derail this thread but I was hoping someone could help me find another zero hedge article that was posted a couple days ago, maybe even yesterday. I've been searching but I'm stumped. Can't find it. It was to do with savings and what people think is savings etc.
Would appreciate it if anyone can link it for me...
cheers

That would be the logical place to put your money today IMO. However they are not insiders to the fed money creation schemes, so many will probably put it in bonds or bills...

insiders are selling a hell of a lot more than they are buying.
basically, with a few exceptions, insiders are doing ZERO buying.
i don't know if the ratio is $ amount or share volume. probably $ amount.

Why would insiders buy shares knowing the market is only supported by the Fed...and the Fed could pull the plug at any moment?
Run from stocks, run!
