No real rise in gold in OZ dollar as it is rising as well and will soon be equal to US dollar by the looks.

1300 plus gold is great news though.

Yesterday was the expiration of the October Gold contracts - most were sold at $1,300 - oddly, once again the POG was pushed to just below the average of the contracts - meaning the paper shorts made money one again.

Ben is buying $100B a month in treasuries and every country in the world is actively trying to devalue their currency to enable more exports.

The December contracts are mostly at $1350 - which means the POG will be a couple of dollars below that at the end of that month.

What's happening? Global realization that USD is not the place to put all of the eggs. Uncle bucky is taking one to the nad's. Sub 80 (again) can not be good for confidence.

Now things are getting interesting. I expect high volitility. We could be up over $100 in a day any day now, only to fall as much or more the next. If price won't shake 'em loose, try volitility.

Get your dry powder ready. Wait for it.... wait for it.... wait for it.....

I just got a big ugly Service Unavailable from Kitco http://www.kitco.com/market/

It's back now, but they must be busy!

I will take credit for this rally, as I sold some for once on Friday. Miner shares only, and just ~10% of my holdings. I had planned to buy back on the expected pullback, but it looks like this time is different. Buckle up!

IIRC, Sinclair's prediction for 1650 by January was tied to his timing of when MOPE starts going kaput. QE 2.0 is definitely a major blow to the MOPE.

QE2 has been going on for a while now. The fed is already over $30 billion in, and this time they're being quite silent about it. No announcements to how much they will spend this time. While last time they stopped at $300 bn, we don't know what they're planning this time. Rumors range, some say that the reason they're quiet is because they don't plan to spend much more than the $30 bn already in, others think the Fed is trying to hide the fact that they expect to monetize up to $3 trillion this time around. Who knows? Talk about market uncertainty!

The white rabbit has an excellent thread about QE2 (http://gold-silver.us/forum/the-worlds-financial-collapse/tracking-the-fed-bond-buying-spree-2-!!!/?topicseen), I encourage everyone to follow along, this is important news!

I think I have it figured out.

The money bugs like the rock, gold.

The fiat bugs like the scissors, US treasuries.

The paper bugs like paper, stock certificates.

Long term, the rock is the last one standing. Paper is shredded and scissors are smashed.

(On another note, I think PM action in late September is result of funds papering their holdings to show they have PM holdings at the end of the quarter. Watch for them to bail out again early October. Keep your powder dry for PMs on sale in October.)

That should mean physical supply is getting tighter, despite gold being at a record price. Incredibly bullish. I think we are in mania phase now. However neither in Euro or GBP is gold at alltime high...

$26,000? That's all. You are slacking off chad. ;D ;D ;D

I am such a small time buyer of PM's that Tulving would need a magnifying glass to see if I came through their door and when they see me, they will just say "Sorry, no small time PM buyers allowed". :D

I think it would be 27000 now with Tulvings low prices even... I have never bought for more than a 2-3000 dollars.

I did a sell though earlier this summer for 9000, to pay for my cheap indian hip replacement. Excellent result! No pain and I don't limp any longer, for the first time in my adult life I can even run w/o pain.

Here in Istanbul though I can still buy and sell gold with less than a 2% spread.

It is rare that I buy gold and when I do, it is a fractional gold coin. A vast majority of the time, I usually end up buying silver because I am a poor man. ;D

Best investment of my life. Thank you!

And a 2% spread is great. So far I haven't seen any great deviation from spot price. Probably a good idea to collect a wad of cash, to have ready when the papermarket collapses... It may be possible to get the deals of my life on gold...

I apologize for not getting back to you when we were on GIM1 (R.I.P.). I think that I said on GIM1 (R.I.P.) that I would get back with you once my "wish list" was completed but I forgot and I feel bad about that. The "wish list" is not quite completed but I have a very good idea of what I am looking to collect. I might be interested in some of silver art bars with the "cheesy slogans" on them.

I already have a lot of the silver art bars with the planes, trains, and automobiles on them. My "wish list" is somewhat long but here is a general breakdown of what '70's silver art bars that I am looking for:

1. Silver art bars minted by Great House Productions

2. Silver art bars minted by Green Country Mint

3. Silver art bars minted by Garden State Mint

4. Certain wildlife animal themed silver art bars minted by United State Silver Corporation (USSC)

5. Certain Coca-Cola silver art bars minted by the World Wide Mint

6. Sports themed silver art bars that were minted by a company called The Mint

7. Any '70's silver art bars minted by the International Silver Ingot Co. (ISIC).

8. Any "cancelled" silver art bars

Several of these silver art bars that I just mentioned are sometimes listed on ebay but a majority of them cost between $100-$200 on ebay and I do not want to pay those prices for them.

My "wish list" is longer than that but the art bars mentioned above are the ones that I have the most interest in adding to my silver art bar collection. If you (or anybody else on GSUS) have any of the silver art bar mentioned above, then send me a private message. I might be interested.
