I never really spent any time there until today. I left a comment in an article about Pat Tillman and found my account banned within 5 minutes. I've been booted from many places but never so quickly. So much for discourse.

That being the case, I'm glad places like this exist where people can more or less say whatever they want.

Thanks mods and everyone else for making this one of the better sites on the interwebs!

You are perma banned here too.
How dare you try to wake people up in their sacred paradigm reinforcing temple like huffington.

Where is that sarcasm button?

I have been banned on every forum I have been on except this one.
This forum has the best of GIM 1 and despite it's technological problems and lack of velocity of the threads is still the best out there.

HuffPo tolerates little to no dissent whatsoever and will seek to delete anything that runs contrary to their narrow-minded ideology.

In addition, it is a privately-owned website thus the mods have authority to do such.

But, as mentioned already, thank goodness for a website like GSUS that can actually tolerate different viewpoints.

thanks for starting this thread. after going there , i've signed on and i'm kicking trashcans, mostly repeating some things i've learned from here and other similar forums . i've stolen a GIM or someones cool avatar. what better place than to try and wake the people up. attacking thier opinions with facts is the only way. i'm up to 2 friends.

A little less than that, but what pissed me off is so called patriot forums GIM 1+2, tree of liberty, and Ar15 forum they can be just as bad as democratic underground.

I was super fucking pissed that I wasted so much time on GIM 1 contributing there only to have it wiped away in a night.

So some wise man said "if you don't hold it, you don't own it." So I created my Academy and have had a great time with it.

The other huge reason I created the Academy is because forums are memory holes and great info comes and goes. My Academy not only speeds up the awakening process but is a repository for all of the great knowledge that keeps getting covered by the sands of time.

Web sites such as HuffPo, DailyKos, Democratic Underground, Free Republic, etc. are sites designed not for discussion but for groupthink.

The admins probably know that if critical thinking was tolerated then their statist beliefs would cause too many sheeple to understand reality instead of their blind black-and-white view of the world which they perpetuate 24/7.

You can add Frugal Squirrels to that list.
