But this isn’t really any different from claiming that Zionist theories provide intellectual legitimacy to the dispossession of the Palestinians – or that Freudian psychoanalysis provides intellectual legitimacy to anti-Western attitudes. At the end of the day, what counts is whether indeed my writings are intellectually defensible.

Always was a joke, controlled opposition conceived and promoted by TPTB from the word go. I've got a certain elderly relative who likes to watch FAUX News (blaringly loud but I digress). It was over a year ago I recall The Beckster pimping the tea parties. The ahem "movement" was nothing then like we saw recently where The Beckster led a whole Palin-worshiping tea party circle jerk; but given that TPTB had their $50MM manwhore Beckster pimping their tea party creation at least a year ago, I take for granted it's a fake grass roots steam release valve.

Not to say that the well-meaning people who participate can't meet others of like mind & something truly grass roots break off & grow from it...
