really dumb question, but will paladium tarnish from fingerprints?

i left a bar sitting out, and my 4 year ripped it out of the wrapper (which was cracked to begin with) and was hauling it around the house before i found out. he thought it was a silver bar, which i allow them to play with. it's covered with 4 year old cooties and fingerprints. :o

soaked it in water overnight, scrubbed it with a paper towel. looks fine now. ^-^

I wouldn't fondle it myself, platinum is kinda toxic.
