the price action on silver has been great for the past month.
It is after three years of manipulated consolidation.

I really feel even this is TpTB finally throwing in the towel with silver and they are trying to have an organized retreat from their short positions. 1% a day is better to satisfy the bulls than a over night default.

Or they could be luring in more people trading on margin to buy silver and then they pull the carpet out from underneath them.

Either way silver is still impossibly cheap precious metal and never use leverage or any paper asset for your investment in silver, stick to the physical.

Bingo.

The metals were NOT making much of a correction, so it didn't take much to give 'em another bump along their current path.

I have been watching CNBC for about an hour, wondering what they are saying about gold and silver today, and not one mention so far. They are not even putting it in the ticker at the top of the screen very often. It's too annoying to watch that channel any longer. Oh well, I don't want any mania yet, I still want to buy more silver.

Not bad for one year of trading, with no experience.

The only thing I don't like is that I am now "all-out", and have to wait for a dip to buy back in.

Interviewer - - HAL, you have an enormous responsibility on this mission, in many ways perhaps the greatest responsibility of any single mission element. You're the brain, and central nervous system of the ship, and your responsibilities include watching over the men in hibernation. Does this ever cause you any lack of confidence?

HAL - - Let me put it this way, Mr. Amor. The 9000 series is the most reliable computer ever made. No 9000 computer has ever made a mistake or distorted information. We are all, by any practical definition of the words, foolproof and incapable of error.

I don't follow the price as closely as I used to since getting out of futures trading 2 years ago. So my current short term reactions involve going for coffee with a few fellow investors when silver breaks a new dollar high.

Had not done this since 2008 ($21 close). Now this weekend was a $22 close and $23 seems could happen at any moment.

2006 -gold is a bad investment
2007 -gold is a bad investment
2008 -gold is a bad investment
2009 -gold is a bad investment
2010 -gold has been a great investment for the last decade. People loose money chasing market trends.

Super-rich investors buy gold by ton (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6932NR20101004)

(Reuters) - The world's wealthiest people have responded to economic worries by buying gold by the bar -- and sometimes by the ton -- and by moving assets out of the financial system, bankers catering to the very rich said on Monday.

58.9:1

Anyone swapping?

Whats the closest ratio historically?

Most people go with the 16:1 ratio that Ponce posted. However, it has varied quite a bit in different times and in different regions. The closest I've ever heard of was ancient China, where it was valued at 2:1 for a while!

Maybe with all the silver buying in China, we can have a repeat of history. ;D

How can 1.4 billion people be wrong. Go, China Go!

Yeah, I'd like to know when you ratio hawks start swapping. I remember stories of swapping for silver at 55:1, and then it went up to 80:1. So now what do you do?

This post brought to you by the Society to Just Own Both and Stop Worrying About the Ratio

Nope... The dollar sign is working it up. You can use the URL tags to fix it, or I'll do it for you if you want.

Let’s bring ‘em back safely and set ‘em back up on the launch pad.

Don't wait to long. What is left of the crumbs could get very crummy.

How would you feel about adding these to your stash.
