This silver run blows me away and it leads to this question...............Can silver touch $24 by the end of this week? Is it possible for silver to touch $24 after this recent run-up? What do you think?

With the current silver high so far of $23.41, it is only 0.59 from touching $24.00. This could be very interesting.

Art it is a bold call imo. I do not think we will make it this week. Next week?

We have weekly jobless and September unemployment due today and tomorrow respectively.
Who knows how the market makers will react to the lies of these reports.

1365 gold overnight and 23.55 for silver.

If it hits $25.00 before the election I might sell off a little. I gotta hunch it'll drop afterwards if the
Republicans get in to save the world??!! ;) ;) ::) ::)

Yeah Osoab you are right. It will not happen at the end of this week. Silver is down big today and there is no way for silver to come back from that deficit to touch $24 at the end of this week. Maybe next week we will see $24. You never know.

I say maybe next week, probably by the end October.

I am waiting to see what the overnight markets do.

Silver high ended up being $23.33. 0.67 short of touching $24 but this was still a great week for silver IMO. I am also waiting to see if silver can touch $24 next week.

We really should be doing backflips in the street Art.

I completely expected down into the weekend. I would like to know who the buyers were.

$23.22 validates the judgment of everyone on this board when they purchased silver at lower prices ... and had patience while silver took about 2 years to pass its 2008 peak ... before the boating accident :o

Being a silver bug takes a lot of patience and a very strong stomach for volatility. I am proud to be a silver bug. I am also proud to be the only silver bug that has never been a victim of a boating accident. ;D When silver reaches and breaks $24 next week, then that will simply increase my happiness level. :)

these last few weeks when gold & silver have been on their "run", so has the stock market.

that investor money has to go somewhere. either "the casino" (stock market, bond market), or solid value (PM's).

i think eventually the stock market will have another tantrum. another brief moment of honesty, followed by an extended hissy-fit (Dow 5000-ish).

i think gold & silver prices are a little like a ratchet. they go up, and they won't go down as much when the stock market collapses - at which time the silver/Dow or silver/S&P (or gold/Dow or gold/S&P) will increase (because of gold & silver's staying power among a bunch of other things.)

APMex is paying $24.75 for Eagles. pretty amazing.

maybe APMex will start an Art Bar product line and let you be their beta tester ;D

My understanding that even as Zimbabwe was printing $trillion bills, their stock market was running up. What choice does it have? Even in hyperinflated currency, companies that produce things that people need have value, and if you value it in hyperinflalting currency, the stock market needs to hyperinflate to keep up. In my view PMs will contunue upwards, and the stock market may just follow.

Weird Chart. I don't know if I have ever seen a silver chart without spikes up and down.
Not every week you see a 1 dollar down day and a 1 dollar up day in the same week. An interesting reflection, was that there were very little comment and speculation on silver going down more than a dollar Thursday. Normaly there would be questions like: Is this the end of the rally, and most would answer in the negative, that no this is just a short term correction a blip on the screen on the road to heaven etc... Usually it means that it is time to go out of silver for a while. This time it recovered the next day... Amazing strength in the market... I think we can be up at $25 by the end of next week...

I watched Ag flirt with $25 last night.

It was a mixed feeling of excitement and terror.

I had the same feelings, but it got more to do with price of silver jumping 35 cents in less than 3 minutes. I was actually somewhat relieved that it didn't continue up at that rate for another 5 minutes... Then I would have gone in hiding, I think... ;)
