National-Security Adviser Jones to Resign

WASHINGTON—Gen. James Jones is resigning as President Barack Obama's national-security adviser, two senior administration officials said.

The officials said Mr. Jones will be succeeded by Tom Donilon, the deputy national-security adviser.

Mr. Obama will announce the change Friday afternoon in a Rose Garden ceremony with Mr. Jones and Mr. Donilon.

The officials said Mr. Jones, whose resignation will be effective in two weeks, had planned from the start of his tenure to leave the position at about the two-year mark.

That will never happen unless the system is changed first. Exactly how do plan on boarding 100 million dollar yachts surrounded by the US Navy?
