My favourite pundit for a time back in the day.
I went looking for an example, and decided the third paragraph of the first article I googled was good enough.
EXIT 2007: DENIALS & TONTERA
by Jim Willie CB Editor, Hat Trick Letter December 26, 2007 (http://www.financialsensearchive.com/fsu/editorials/willie/2007/1226.html)
Wall Street is in deep sneakers. They are busy putting a positive spin on 2007, which in mid-year unleashed the beginning of an unstoppable nightmare. The first cracks were revealed in gory fashion in the form of subprime mortgages blasting fissures through the entire bank and bond system. The next cracks will blossom into a mindboggling series of shocks next year. The US Federal Reserve planted millions of seeds, led by Alan Appleseed Greenspan, during almost two years of ridiculously irresponsible low interest rates so as to assure a doomed outcome. One should never entrust US-based lending institutions to create mortgage products, to approve of loans, to work (collude) with appraisers, the end result of which is massive creation of new debt destined to implode. Recall that the Good Crazed Maestro, who resembles Mr Magoo even more since his retirement, endorsed the housing bubble, begged for it even, urging down long-term interest rates in 2001 & 2002. He desperately needed for housing inflated so-called wealth to save his bacon from the stock bust a year earlier. Both the stock bubble and housing/mortgage bubbles had his fingerprints on them. GREENSPAN MORTGAGED THE ENTIRE BANKING SYSTEM AND ECONOMY WITH BAD LOANS, WHICH ARE IN SYSTEMIC DEFAULT. He actually blessed the housing bubble as a legitimate foundation for an entire USEconomy, a fact that should never be forgotten. One must knock down a fifth martini or whiskey to buy such heretical garbage, but the entire nation lapped it up like hopeless drunkards grasping at overturned bottles. The past several weeks have included a boatload of denials and a large dose of tontera (Spanish: nonsense).
In other news I see Financial Sense online is suffering from bureaucratic bloat. 'Financial Sense University' they now call themselves?!?

Who is Jim Willie?
JW = a nobody who "gets it" and was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay late to the party.
BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT, JW figured out how to make a buck telling everyone he had caught on. His inauspicious subscription beginnings were as the nude emperor in in 2007. If you want to watch him morph into the financial know-it-all of today, get yourself a free subscription to Silicon Investor website, where Jim Willie was born, and morphed into the gargoyle he now is.
Advise you not to eat before starting THAT investigative journey. There's only 16,532 posts since 5/21/98 to when he quit giving freebies IN 2007!

His Jackassness was born *on SI* May 21, 1998. He's been a certified ass for a very VERY long time.

Jim Willie has made me a lot of money and saved me a lot too. I subscribe to his newsletter and read it assiduously and use it heavily in my investment decisions. He is a very smart guy; though his writing style is tortured. If he had an Ezra Pound to edit his output, his reports could be the stuff of legend.

Glad you found him useful, doc. Emperically, all of us want to ostensibly help "just one person and then we'll be fulfilled." Perhaps you are Jim Willie's one person.
One DOES have to wonder "what changed" y'know? He goes on and on for 16,532 posts over a 9 year period and then starts a subscription in 2007??? What if he loses HIS guru, and starts spewing more garbage again? Then what will you do?

Any idea who his guru is? JW is writing some hard hitting stuff about TPTB, most of it incriminating to the max. People have been disappeared for less. In written and video presentations he sounds to me like he fully comprehends what he asserts.

JW identifies "his guru" over on SI. Rants on and on about him before he disappeared from there and started selling his subscriptions. Claims he was the guru's wide-eyed and awestruck guest back in the day, for a week+ over in Europe. Don't recall the name. Sounded like a private circle jerk intro/visit to me. He claims to have been back several times and have the dude on "speed dial."

I have also heard him mention a few times there are things he has been warned not to talk about.
While certainly strange it all seems plausible for those of us not formally hoodwinked in some way.
This stuff seems to happen all the time.
Heck even I have been warned to stay away from a topic. Perhaps someone blowing smoke up my ass, but one of the few I would take such a thing seriously from, and I kind of agreed with the offered reason.
I could imagine someone who had some influence over Jim saying hey why not take it private. You will get less hassle from us and make more money for yourself. Isn't that how it always works?

I thought it was some Von Mises type who recently died a few years ago of old age (Rickenbacher??)?? I remember him writing about meeting the guy for a week in France or something, but not really being too impressed with him in person.
As a writer, I actually love to read his stuff and have been following his articles since he started writing them on Gold Eagle. He could use the advice of a good editor though...

I dig him, but he didn't reply to my email so I'm forced to hate him.
He hangs in Costa Rica, so i'd thought he'd invite me in to ogle at his stash. ;D

....
Which topic is that? I have never been warned in such a manner. Send me a pm if you don't want anyone to know you told me. No topic is off limits at this point, nobody lives forever, and if I have 2 hours or 2 years left, one thing is for sure, I don't plan on living even 1 minute of it in fear.
Leaders start and profit from wars. When was the last war that was actually started by a mass uprising by the people with some goal in mind? You have to go way way back to find that war.
Central banks and central govts have caused problem after problem. And when have they actually fixed something? Did the central govt of Hungary start building the containment wall before or after the problem went critical? It's not like they didn't know of the danger.
Taxes have been around for thousands of years, funny how people are so unwilling to link cause and effect.

Funny thing about Costa Rica...Peter Grandich --former cop and now "adored" Gold newsletter guru of so many--also lives in Costa Rica last I heard.
Is it something in the drinking water down there?

It was nothing that internet forums such as this cover significantly, so no worries for us here. The issue is no real secret either, and my warning was public as well, although I expect the thread is gone like a GIM thread.
I will still talk about the issue in an 'OK' way, but it would be in bad form to do so in the same thread IMO. ;)
Same as it ever was.
EdgeCrusher may have mentioned it in passing lately.

Jim Willie is great!
he has always been brilliant, but in recent years his subscriber base has grown so large, I guess tPTB felt they could not ignore him anymore
he stated he was physically threatened at least 3 times (once by mossad/DHS on a plane to a conference)
he has not mentioned anymore "direct threats", but he has tightened up some on the conspiracy stuff, so my guess is that this fourth threat was a doozy....
as he mentions in the video, catherine austin fitts had at least 3 attempts on her life, arsenic poisoning, various others, that she survived.
Jim Willie mentioned she was a subscriber of his, so maybe she tried to warn him,
I cannot blame him for heeding the warning.
not like he reaches enough people to change anything really (no purpose in getting killed for that), and right now most people are attached to the system (matrix style)

the price action on silver has been great for the past month.
It is after three years of manipulated consolidation.
I really feel even this is TpTB finally throwing in the towel with silver and they are trying to have an organized retreat from their short positions. 1% a day is better to satisfy the bulls than a over night default.
Or they could be luring in more people trading on margin to buy silver and then they pull the carpet out from underneath them.
Either way silver is still impossibly cheap precious metal and never use leverage or any paper asset for your investment in silver, stick to the physical.
Jim Willie in the interview says something I have been saying.
The price action has dramatically changed in the past two months in gold and silver.
This could be a tectonic shift in the landscape we need to watch.

Most likely the timing of which coincided with the U.S. marine invasion of Costa Rica a couple months back.
