I wanted to show you what I've done so far with some of the copper you sent. I did some etching today. :)

Whooo Hoooo BEAUTIFUL !!

How big are the panels?

I like the leaf pattern and the bottom far right the best!

We need to get together, and make some money ! The folks out in Pebble beach would pay a pretty penny for some beauiful copper panels we could install em and you could sell them! And I got a big pile of copper!

These are some of the smaller strips. Here they are all laid out across my hand. The widest one is about 1.3 inches wide, and the thinnest one is about 3/4" wide.

What will you make out of them ?

I might make a cuff bracelet out of the biggest one. I haven't decided yet because the gauge might be too thin for a cuff bracelet. The rest will probably be cut into discs for bracelets, earrings or for making bead caps.

I can not believe all of the things that you do! I love all of the patterns on the copper. Way cool. How long did it take you?

Thank you k-os. :)

I didn't really time it, but I'd say it took me about half a day or so. I'm a slow poke though... I take a lot of breaks in between steps... LOL

First I had to beat the copper flat. Some of it was folded up. Then I had to degrease it and pickle it to clean it real good. All of that probably took the longest. Then I put the patterns on them, mixed up my acid bath and deactivation bath. I let them sit in the acid bath for about 45 minutes. Deactivated them and then cleaned them again.

Tomorrow I'll put them in the pickle for another round of cleaning and then put a nice patina and polish on them.

Then I get to do the fun stuff. Make pretty things out of it. :)
