Our militarized police have a policy of doing summary executions. It's not written anywhere, but they protect those who carry out that policy.
When you have contact with police, any speech or behavior other than "Yes sir, Thank you sir." is grounds for execution. We have no rights, nor any protection from the police. This is what distinguishes a police state. Kinda reminds me of the movies where the Nazi cops pulled somebody aside and shot them--only the Nazis dis it more discreetly. Hell, even Fox news, the nation's biggest supporter of a police state are outraged.
I liked the spokesman speaking about how there are two sides to the story. The guy who can tell the other side of the cop's story is dead, so effectively, in this case, there is only one side to the story. My prediction is that the cop will not only be absolved of any guilt, but he might get a promotion, if not a medal.
When states and cities go bankrupt, we'll all be better off without the police. They've become predators--even the good ones.

Cops run as a pack. If you happen to defend your lawful rights against an unlawful assault heaven help you long enough that you can be judged by your peers for your actions. In this case there was no hope of the victim even being able to defend themselves. I think that says it all. Lawful rights are being obliterated the world over. They are different to legal rights and they are enshrined in nearly every societies constitutions or historical law. People are unaware of them and as such do not exercise them.
You know what happens when you don't exercise.
