Metals markets?

What times do they run and start? I know they are global but wonder when the times are around the globe. I should know this but never really cared until these days LOL.

The markets are closed on the weekends, once 5pm EST arrives the weekend begins. There is a short period between 5pm and 6pm EST where the NY Global Exchange is also halted on a daily basis. Other than that trading is open on the Sydney, Hong Kong, London, and/or NY exchanges.

I find it funny how the markets are open for bids to .wall gov after hours while the peasants get to come in after the market gaps up on the open. Am I missing something here. I don't pretend to know all the mechanations of the markets?
