So the first rule of politics when attacked by an opponent is to say "How dare you?! Have you no shame?! How dare you?!"
So I was immediately suspicious when I came across this seemingly staged dispute between Rand Paul and Jack Conway regarding Conway attacking Rands religious beliefs. Well the moderator asked if Rand supported the supreme courts ruling allowing unlimited corporate contributions and he said yes and immediately went back to attacking Conway. Did I hear this right? Rand supports unlimited corporate contributions to candidates?
On another note, I was a state delegate for Ron Paul in '08 and can say there were some real suspicious things going on. Controlled opposition type stuff. The night before the convention the national director douschebag for Pauls campaign gave us a speech to get us fired up for the next day and then as we were cheering he tried to steer everything towards support for the even bigger douschebag RINO candidate for governor. Many other things going on but suffice it to say I don't trust the Pauls.

If voting changed anything, it would be illegal.

Good thread. Rand Paul has been taking a motherfucking BEATING....a colossal beating...on big sites like reddit.com
You can't touch his father, not really. It took us until the 2008 election to realize that there might be something suspicious going on with him.
But rand paul is starting to burn out fast. Lots of people see him as freedom hating, because he constantly states what he personally believes for his own life should be how a government is run. He is not doing well even among libertarians. If anyone can tell me wtf is going on, I'd appreciate it..

Beck, Napolitano, Paul, Paul....etc... All controlled opposition.
I believed in RP's campaign in '08, and donated some $ (public record)... so I guess I was fooled too... no more.
But, at least I have a signed copy of Manifesto, right? LOL.

I can't defend the Paul's and I won't but I'll say this, RP did wake up people. It started the Tea Party movement. But now that's co-opted. I don't want to give TPTB that much credit like it was planned. I guess I just don't know what to think. Maybe trusting no one is the way to go, and just learn as much as you can and trust your instincts is the absolute way to go.

Yeah, the Paul's are the worst people for the job.
Much worse than the current crop of socialists, progressives, central planners, totalitarians and utopian bliss-ninnies that have been running the show.
Now, someone please explain the alien conspiracy behind Corn flakes...

I think all RP did was bring all the liberty-minded people out into the open, where they could be identified, qualified, and quantified.
That, I believe, was INDEED planned.

It's typical mudslinging politics, this time with Paul's opponent, Conway, digging up something allegedly controversial from Paul's college years.
Although I'm not so fond of Rand, Conway seems like he'll be an 0bummer rubber stamper.

Brew do you really expect there to be round up in the future? Personally I think it might be possible since any thing is possible, but the country would really have to go to shit for that to happen, and at that point the long arm of the law will be calling in sick to work versus doing there job. FYI - I've never done anything illegal and during my Friday show I've stated, "If they come for me, I'm not going", and that's the biggest problem they've got. The patriots that will fight back. However, if they shut down in the internet, and people don't know what's going on that would change the playing field. So, I guess I see what you're saying I just think it might be over the top, and I don't mean any disrespect.

You misunderstand.
I don't mean "drawing out into the open" on a personal level, individually. I don't think that getting everyone's f*cking name to put on a list was the goal... did you guys actually think that's what I meant? Whoops, my bad. ::)
I think the objective was to run the libertarian ideas up the flagpole and see how much of a percentage of the population publicly saluted... know what I mean? That would give a good idea of how much potential opposition there was going to be to the policies they had already planned to enact in the coming years (post-08)...
They were just running a research exercise, IOW...
That's what I would do, if I was them.

Why do we need a GOVERN-ment? Oh yeah... TAXES, that's why. I miss paying taxes... sort of like how when May rolls around I miss mosquites - it's kind of nice having something to itch.

Goto 1:40 for the moderators question....."Do you support or oppose the Supreme Courts ruling to allow unlimited corporate political contributions?" Connoway says no......
Now goto 2:57 for Rand Pauls response "Yes" then he immediately changes the subject to Connoways religious attacks.
This whole religious attack by Connoway BS is a red herring. Rand can suck it.

All RP is known for is giving Bernake a verbal tounge lashing in Capital Hill ( whooptee fricken do)
He is a dam charlatan because he sold the fictious dream that some how decent folk can change the Republican Party.
He was just like what Howard Dean did on the Democratic Side a few years back. He Got elected to head the DNC and bring in the same hacks that have ripped this country to peices ( he passed the leadership of the party he formed (democracy for america) to his brother keep that money in the family.
The man is the heighest form of Traitor IMO cause he knows the score yet he turns to the side to keep the game going.

What the fuck can ONE Representative do?
Ron Paul at least got some people thinking about liberty... and check his voting record and see if you can find anything questionable.
He's doing as much as he can without putting himself/his family in danger.

I know what you're trying to say; but it seems like people don't like Beck, Napolitano, Paul for some reason. Who would you suggest as a viable person to replace those four?

Indeed, the apple has fallen very far from the tree. RP did more than lash at Bernanke. He tirelessly spoke reason and almost single handedly exposed Congress for what they are. Rand can only ride Ron's coattails for so long until he has to stand on his own. Right now he has no balance and is falling fast.
LOL, are you in Kentucky?

I don't know what Howard Dean has to do with Ron Paul, and Ron Paul is known for much more than just hassling Ben Bernanke. Ron Paul has spent many years publicly trying to advance the case for freedom and liberty in an increasingly socialist nation.
I would like you to cite a stance Dr Paul has taken,or a vote in the house he has made, with which you disagree.

It got funneled into the campaign for liberty.
Ben Franklin and his son did part ways under similar circumstances...
