Just a theory ... the car parked the wrong way has not put on his 4-way flashers. The trucker spots him, gets confused thinking he is going the wrong way down the wrong lane and chooses to change lanes and direction at the same time. :sun:

GD, it looks like the truck was hauling ass, hit it's brakes to slow down, the back end popped out and the trailer kept pushing the truck left. IMHO.

Observing the angular velocity and noting that the initial impact showed no net loss in momentum I'd say that cop car went damned airborne when the end of the trailer struck it like a bigass baseball bat.

Yep. It can be a real bitch when haulin' a load on a wet road and the front of the truck says "slow" and the back of the truck says "no".


The guy in the black shirt ran in the best direction as I'd think that thing would've slid a good ways once it hit the dirt and grass. I remember riding with someone who lost control and went off the road into a big open lawn-type area and it seemed like it took half of forever to actually stop.....and that was on an up-grade. :D

Great video, and a prime example of when there is no time to reason, run like hell.

Reminds me of driving down the road, a little ways before a packed bus stop, suddenly people were haulling a$$ out of there in all directions, some would have been hit by cars, except lucky for them there weren't any in front of the bus stop at that time. I never saw what caused the mass exit, but it is a safe guess someone pulled out a gun.
