Four years ago my only friend here in town asked me for a loan to complete the down payment that he wanted for a house.......I told him NO, not to buy the house because we were heading stright to hell where just about no one would be saved...............well, he got the loan elsewhere and now his Italian restaurant is doing lousy.

Come winter he may have to shut down......and yet.......he asked today for a BIG loan, I told him that he should had not bought the house and stayed living in the trailer in the restaurant property.....I feel sorry for him but to give him the loan would be trowing my fiat away.

Any one asking you for a "loan"???

By the way, today I feel a lot better that I have felt in a long time.

Almost invariably, friends don't loan money to friends... and stay friends.

"Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry."

I'm glad you're feelin' better, ponce!

You did the right thing. If he was a true friend, he wouldn't be asking you for a loan.

So far, nobody has asked for me for a loan. I would not be of any help because I am too "FRN Challenged" to loan out any money to anybody. :D

BTW I am glad that you are feeling better Ponce. :)

I agree with everything said so far. You don't LOAN friends money, you either give them the money or you don't.

Glad to hear you doing better. |--0--|

You did the right thing, Ponce.

And you would have likely just post-poning his pain. He bought a house, and the restaurant is slow.

We know which way things are headed.

You....are not a bank.

My philosophy is to never loan anything to a friend or family member that I can not just right off as a gift. Meaning that if I they don't pay it back or return it then it's no big deal.

The proper way to loan is to get a collateral.

So it's a win-win situation for you, whether you get the FRNs back or not.

A few Questions:

Why do so many people react the same way to this topic as if programed?
It seems to be the same answer: Never loan money to friends/family.

But if you look at "them", isn't that exactly what "they" do?

Isn't "don't loan money" really brainwashing to force people into the banking system?

Because they loaned money to family or a "friend" and never saw it again.

Was there a contract?

Was there an asset held as collateral?

Was the RISK evaluated?

The majority of the people would just rather take a .85% CD and not do any thought/work? Even though they have no idea what the bank is going to do with their money (or that it is multiplied)? Ignorance is bliss....

That's why your family or "friend" couldn't get the bank loan in the first place and came begging to you...lol.

LOL!!

But if you look at the communities that have loaned (or bought and sold) internally, the rewards are extremely beneficial.

Ponce, maybe your friend could use this:

If you are in a position to give a gift then so be it.

Everything else is a loan and a loan requires collateral.

That's not how Jews do it...they lend to 'friends' and they lend big. I guess that's why they now control everything from the top...total loyalty to the betterment of their tribe.

But, personally, I'm not much into lending or borrowing, friend or no friend.

hey, Ponce, can i lease out a few pallets of toilet paper ?

maybe in some alternate universe, banks store toilet paper and people wipe their rear ends with gold. :o

and banks lease the toilet paper to Comex/ Paperex, so they can re-sell it as paper toilet paper or electronic toilet paper.

might make a good science fiction movie ?

maybe we should make a MOVIE. we got enough characters. we can let Ponce be the director. Ken can be the chaplain.

as far as plot - who needs a plot ?

what would the characters wear ? i've always wanted to make a bikini out of 1/4 ounce rounds. just drill 3 or 4 holes in them, then lace them together.

we could have the "G-S.us Bikini Competition on Planet Toilet Paper" film. share all the proceeds equally.

then if the movie wins an Oscar, we can show up at the Kodak theater in LA (it used to be at the Masonic temple) wearing "Israel did 9-11" shirts. i'm sure they would love that.

Gun? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr leave my tp out of this...........

He doesn't have any "collateral"............he ows about $40.000 to those who gave him the loan, for the house, that I did not..........even his restaurant (owner of land and building) was given to the bank as collateral..........he has nothing but his day to day income from the restaurant, like most Americans (not me, I am a Cuban hahahahahahahahahah).

I for one all that I have is my Social Security and even with that I have about $4,000 a year to spare...I plan my life according to the income that I have and not to the one that I would like to have.

Only my ego is BIGGER than life.......not the way that I live... your truly = God Jr in training.
