The commander in chief came to portland yesterday to pitch the Dem candidate for governor. I was working around the time his armored car motorcade was heading to Martin Luther King boulevard and Multnomah where the lovefest was being held. ALL traffic out of the airport, and a portion of I 205 near the airport was halted for approx 1/2 hour for the drive. This was around 5:00 pm at the peak traffic time for the remaining workers in Portland to go home. A reAL CLUSTERFVCK. My last delivery was in Salem @ a hotel, had about 9 stops from 5:00 to 11:00 pm. Late luggage from the airlines to individuals around the portland area. Almost all i spoke with were viewing the speech on the TV, the hotel clerk in Salem said he was joking around, mentioned Beyonce. She couldn't remember if he mentioned ending the war in the ME, or very much about the job situation.

I thought everyone in the Portland area commuted by bike ;D.

When I lived there, The Oregonian would bury a Bush visit in the back pages, Then after his visit would go off without a hitch, It would be front page news.
