Like 'em or not, the thing about the South Park crew is that they cause us to hold up a mirror to ourselves, and this can be distressing for some.

Wow, it was hard to tell on first viewing if the
producers were for real or if it was satire.

The last line gives it away at the very end.

That was 2006 too, many have turned totally.

Toby Keith writes a song, he made it clear later
on it is for the troops only. Many famous people
are aware. Metallica has a great song too of past,
I believe they know the truth now. " lady liberty "

I am not a fan of South Park, main creator is connected
to Columbine, not in a good way, do your own research.

Since you're unfamiliar with the movie Team America: World Police, you are probably unaware of how they portrayed Michael Moore.

In that Team America movie they also have Michael Moore blowing himself up terrorist style, but I cannot find a clip.

Like I said it's Nauseating.

Why would you intentionally click on a link when the first two words in the subject are South Park if it makes you feel nauseous?

Silly.

To stop some of the peer pressure that everyone has to think south park is funny. I think a lot of people think they have to watch and think it's funny because of the pseudo intellectual that go on and on about how it's the best most real, smart funny thing out there. It's a total pant load and the people the write it are leading you around by the nose and you don't even know it. :sicko

There are 2 ideologies at play in SP, one for each of the creators. This is why it's ideologically confusing. Parts are conservatives while other parts liberal, all in the same episode. I tend to agree with Hillbilly that the program is basically a pant load, and bad for young kids to watch for certain.

Yes and while South Park is not as bad as that. It's bad enough that I need to voice my opposition to it.

Nice action coming into a thread about south park to persistently whine about how much you hate south park.

Haha, touch of epic.

I didn't get this Jersey thing until I watched the vid. Now I get it. I've been trying to think where in Australia you find these types. Problem is you find them all over. Western Suburbs of Sydney is probably the biggest mob. Westies they are called although the aussies don't quite pull it off..... aussies are called bogans (pronounced bo-guns). A bogan is more like a slackjaw... not quite but close.

You get it a lot where there are heaps of immigrants like Lebanese and Italians. They like the bling, tracksuit pants (nylon sweat pants), tanktops/singlets and chains. These days they are right into drifting. Japanese import cars with spinner hubs when you're crusing round.

In the UK I think it's called a Chelsea thing.

The wrath of Cthulu has been unleashed upon the earth due to BP drilling on the moon.

Cartman (aka Coon from the infamous coon and friend(s)) manages to charm Cthulu and is using him to banish people and things he doesn't like into other dimensions.

Hillbilly, Southpark has a bit of a learning curve Hillbilly. I remember about 6 months back in 99 when first exposed thinking it was gauche and bitter. Like switching to single malt scotch after a life of beer. 8)

Kids of pure spirit observing all the crazy adult mental memes and stereotypes infecting the adults around them is the basic premise. Or at least was. It has been around too long to stay at its prime.

In the years before internet forums it was how I learned to see through psychopaths and the like. ::)
Although 10 years later there is much more like it around.

That's the "programing" taking hold of you. If something has to "grow" on me I consider it a Fungus and get rid of it.

Well to use your example, from my perspective, South Park is fungal cream (for mental memes). Fungus usually grows best hidden in the dark.
It seems nothing is hidden (aka sacred) in South Park. ;D

Nothing sacred, is why it is so filthy and debauched.

Go watch a Mike Judge Movie called "Idiocracy" and see where this South Park Culture is taking us.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacred

Holiness, or sanctity, is in general the state of being holy (perceived by religious individuals as associated with the divine) or sacred (considered worthy of spiritual respect or devotion; or inspiring awe or reverence among believers in a given set of spiritual ideas). In other contexts, objects are often considered 'holy' or 'sacred' if used for spiritual purposes, such as the worship or service of gods. These terms can also be used in a non-spiritual or semi-spiritual context ("sacred truths" in a constitution). It is often ascribed to people ("a holy man" of religious occupation, "holy prophet" who is venerated by his followers), objects ("sacred artifact" that is venerated and blessed ), times ("holy days" of spiritual introspection, such as during winter holidays), or places ("sacred ground", "holy place").

Well I find the truth of the matter is the truth of the matter. Sure I have some special rituals and sacred things. But if its really worth holding sacred and keeping, it can take the UV or fungus cream. Otherwise if it cannot, I'm probably just infected with some crap meme or fossilized thinking worth rethinking anyways.

When the show was at its prime, perhaps what could be considered sacred in the show, was that the kids didn't take any crap and acted as sovereign free individuals. Perhaps the best Libertarian examples in fictional TV land. Butters excepted.

And I think we can agree South Park is NOT for children.

"Pastors, sanctify your people! You go and you tell 'em, if you have any idols in their homes we're gonna to burn 'em! If you have any witchcraft items in your homes, you bring 'em Sunday and we're gonna burn 'em! We're not gonna have witchcraft in this church!"...

It is not unusual for tourists to bring home keepsakes from faraway lands that have demonic attachments or are idols. What we often do not realize is that these objects can curse us. For instance, many people purchase African masks that have been used in worship ceremonies. Others buy native art such as Kachina dolls, statues of Hindu gods and statues of Buddha. Back home, havoc starts to reign in the form of sickness, tragedy, depression of marriage break-ups. Usually the person does not know why these things have happened."

South Park burns em all, including Sundays and the church. No sacred cows. Not even Judaism or the Devil or my cow (Circle Of Poo).

I've seen every episode at least once. SP routinely takes the most idiotic facets/trends of society and ridicules them beyond belief.

This IMO is the much needed cure to trends that cause societal Idiocracy.

Show is epic.

Bullion_Bob, I agree with this and that is what makes it so entertaining. It's one of very few things I bother to watch on TV.
The Ghost Hunter and Dog Whisperer episodes are absolutely hilarious.

I like the show because it's funny.

I don't need everything constantly reaffirming my view of the world. I don't need to know the stance the producers of the show take in their own lives on every issue. I can just watch something funny and enjoy it for what it is.

New show: South Park mocking Apple

Sound is a little off, probably why its not removed yet. Although I think it is done in part for concentrated Apple content. And sound is not needed for that one part...

They made fun of The Human Centipede movie, which Phelous reviews here:

...This movie is so disgusting, I could barely watch the review.

Perhaps they are just rubbing our noses in the fungal cream. I used to watch the show and found it hilarious. Then it got more pointed and I stopped watching. Around about the episode on the Margarita Ville where Kyle the Jewish boy pays off the worlds debt with his unlimitted credit card - he redeems everyone from their debts (sins). It fits with set off and discharge elements of commercial bills of exchange. I know a few people here will get what I mean. To me it was IN YOUR FACE.

the other episode which was a bit before that and I think was the begining of the end for me was the one about Raisins.
