Serious question... any place out there that would build this gun? Springfield armory maybe (they did the gold dragon-handle guns for face/off).

I think that silver is way more weaker than steel so you'd probably have a 1911 silver plated. The biggest problem is that getting nicks etc on hand guns is pretty easy unless you never shoot them, and at that point what's the point. IMHO.

Yeah I'd think a lot of it would just be plated but the plating could be fairly thick, I just checked and there's sterling silver grips out there for it!
