But IBT quotes one US head trader as suggesting that a behind-the-scenes deal may already have been struck that would see the renminbi (yuan) gradually appreciate over 5 years. An average annual rate of 7.8 percent would amount to 40 percent at the end of 5 years, which is the amount some Western analysts reckon the Chinese currency is undervalued by.
‘This plan is similar to what happened from 2005 to 2008, during which the yuan appreciated over 20 percent over the US dollar. That appreciation stopped in July 2008, when China re-pegged it to the dollar’, the report notes.

China is to far away from me, I'll stick with the Canadian dollar.......besides, they do have a vast field of oil, gas, minerals, food and so on, and are not in deep doodoo as the US.

the u.s. has all of that stuff as well, it's just that we don't get to use any of it because of a crazy 1% populace that wants to ban everything.

about time someone else funded the mexicans. Americans are kinda tired of doing it all by themselves. :sun:

Chad? sure we hace all that but we are selling what we have to foreign nations......like, oil fiels in Texas to China and many produce fields to the state of Israel.

QFT, they do mint PM Yuan but I don't trust that either.
