Glocks are nice, I have a few myself.

However you can hardly defend liberty with a handgun, for that one needs a serious semi-auto rifle. What is your EBR? A M1A? A Garand? FAL? AK? CZ58? SKS? Daewoo? FNC? AR? AR-180? AR-10? CETME? What?

I suppose you're in double trouble then since you will need to fire extra rounds with your poodle shooter to make up for lack of energy and penetration as opposed to .30 caliber.

All that aside, if you really think about it you could easily burn through 3,000 rounds in a few short months during a calamity. IMO 3k rounds is a good down payment toward your long term copper, lead, and brass metal holdings.

You're defending the indefensible. If the competition doesn't know you have an EBR and are willing to use it, then it isn't much of a deterrent, is it? The primary reason for being armed is to be a deterrent for any law-breaking aggressors, to make them think twice about using force. This reason alone is why CCW laws work as well as they do, since the law-breaking aggressors are never sure who is armed. If everyone was armed, crime would largely be non-existent.

"...arms...discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. ...Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived the use of them." -Thomas Paine.

How are you going to keep the invader and plunderer in awe if he has doubts about your willingness to present overwhelming firepower? Nothing says OVERWHELMING FIREPOWER like a drum magazine...

I never suggested that anyone post their inventory, only stand up and be counted essentially saying, "Yea! I have (whatever EBR) and I'm fully prepared to use it!" Anything short of that is wimping out IMO.

"If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government..."-Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist (#28).

But Liquid...........What about your freedom? Having a remote control in your hand and flipping through the channels on the TV is the greatest freedom that any U.S. citizen can have. Do not have 5,000 rounds loaded for my M1a and M1 garand .308 (navy conversion) Maybe 2,000 loaded with several
thousand cases. But does having a Dillon rl550b with enough powder, bullets, and primers count?

Then 5.56 only 1,000 or so rounds for my bolt gun a Savage Model: 12 bvss but with plenty of primers, bullets and powder?

Never been in the spray and pray, corner I prefer aimed controlled fire myself, less waste.

This reason alone is why CCW laws work as well as they do, since the law-breaking aggressors are never sure who is armed. If everyone was armed, crime would largely be non-existent. He told you his favorite weapon was the Glock. When you demanded to know his favorite EBR, he told you to quit hijacking his thread.

There are many times I disagree with Book, but he points out inconsistancies and he does it well without emotional garbage. He could have easily answered your question with some BS about having 15,000 rounds of ammo for an M1, 20,000 for an AR as a lot of people do on these type of forums. I would say that since you were so angered by the couch potato picture it may be due to the fact that you realized where you are lacking. Hopefully instead of directing anger at Book, you will go get a real AK with the 5,000 rounds of ammo. ;D

I'm just having fun there, but seriously, I think the reason that Book annoys some people is that he doesn't get his emotions and personal life involved with his posts. He posts the truth as he sees it. Take it or leave it.

i like watching whatever is on, when i visit a TV-using household.

i can't agree that electronics is good, because of the amount of pollution involved in its manufacture. we ignore that pollution by sending the manufacturing offshore.

of course, like many human beings, i am behaving hypocritically - i'm typing this on computer equipment that was purchased new (as opposed to used, which pollutes a lot less), using an LCD TV as a monitor.

You don't have any freedoms anymore. They took them all away while you were fondling your "EBR" and talking tough in internet forums...lol.

I think you're mistaken. Book obviously gets overly emotionally involved, that's what makes Book who he is.

Point made. Book is passionate about telling others what hopelessly lost slaves they are, he's not passionate about living free.

Tell us all about how often you pointed your own "EBR" at the TSA airport agent while she was groping your Fruit Of The Looms.

Tell us all about how often you pointed your own "EBR" at the Police Officer while you meekly handed him your drivers license.

Tell us all about how often you pointed your own "EBR" at the IRS agent on April 15th.

Book expresses his utter contempt for God by thumbing his nose at Him. Book fears the almighty state more than he fears God.

“The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God” - JFK

"Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God." - Thomas Jefferson

"You can kid yourself and say I'm only going along because they have all the guns, but day by day, year by year, your integrity erodes. Finally, you become like the tyrants: just one more liar." –Franklin Sanders

"None can love freedom heartily but good men; the rest love not freedom, but license." -- John Milton

"Reason obeys itself; and ignorance does whatever is dictated to it." -- Thomas Paine, Rights of Man

"When a man-made law is contrary to the law of nature, it has no validity, any time, anywhere, under any circumstances, in the entire planet." --Sir Walter Blackstone

"The notion that you can somehow defeat violence by submitting to it is simply a flight from fact. As I have said, it is only possible to people who have money and guns between themselves and reality." - George Orwell, 1941

"The contest for ages has been to rescue liberty from the grasp of the executive power." --Daniel Webster

"If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun." – The Dalai Lama

"Of all the things that can be forced upon men; freedom cannot; this each man must take for himself. Freedom being the most precious of commodities; it is not obtained at bargain prices; it is costly; and by Heaven rightfully so. Honor, courage, sacrifice, and vigilance are the coin by which freedom is obtained. A day gone without payment rendered – is a day without freedom." - Thomas John Clark

“Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.” -Thomas Paine

"God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it." - Daniel Webster
