Due to the soft ware. I have tried posting several times and the post gets lost somewhere in space. Threads take forever to load, and most times I get the page cannot be displayed page. This site is getting near un-usable for me. Very frustrating... >:(

Huh? ???
I haven't heard any other complaints lately from anyone... the site has been blazing fast for me since the server changeover.

Hmmmmm...........
That is interesting. So far for me, since JQP did the server change, I have not had any problems posting and loading threads. I did not have any database error issues after the server change. GSUS is loading much faster for me now.

I haven't had any problems in the past month. Maybe you have something interfering with the connection. I don't remember what I was using at the time but it kept interrupting and in day trading I lost 12k because of it. Looked, was zone alarm that messed me all up, even after removing it the tentacles were all over, was a project to get it all out then things were fine.

Initially I had my reservations on observing the "popcorn smiley guy" popping up upon login. Alas, the Sir Gonzo login visual redux
Now...mehh...I'm not so much worried about the speed (at all) as I am with the "Transmitting to NSA" dialog box that keeps popping up every time I click on reply.

Scan your computer for a virus.
Install and run the free CCleaner. (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download)
Defrag your hard drive.
Don't use Internet Explorer.

I have also had on going problems with this site. My problem was a time out on posting. 99% of posts would come back with a time out message. Even if it was a reply that took seconds to make. I have other issues with other sites and the time it takes to load a web page, also the time it takes before I can interact with that web page such as like scrolling down the page.
I abandoned IE and am now using firefox. I now have no issues other than it not retaining my log ins on any web site after I close FF. I'm sure its a setting and I can deal with that and it is probably safer that way anyhow.

Firefox has a lot of settings, many seem redundant but they all have their place if your really god at programming. I am not and it is hit or miss. Pass is saved here yet not at work and I have to relog in. Would need the machines side by side to figure it out. Tried changing everything on work machine to no avail... no biggie tho, says I'm logged in for 11 days which is just not possible since I shut down wed eve.

Those 11 days are the cumulative total of how long you've been logged in since you signed up, not since the last time you logged in.

I get the time out on my posts too. Even when I make a quick reply. I also use IE. Maybe I'll switch to Firefox as well...

No. What he meant was that was the total time you have spent actually online and logged into this site. When you log in, time starts, log out, timer stops. That number is the running total.
See? :)

I haven't had any problems since the site change. I use Opera (http://www.opera.com/browser/download/), because I like it and it's written by a bunch of Norwegians.
