The best joke of all will be when it finally dawns on the jackasses that voted that NOTHING I repeat NOTHING will have improved for them.

I am going to bust a gut laughing.

While they were voting......I will be busy stacking whatever I can.

We will see which strategy was more effective.

1. The elections will result in no change.

2. The announcement of the Fed meeting following the election will change everything.

3. The dopes in this country won't be able understand 1. and 2. are related.

I think that since the repubs will most likely win back a lot of lost seats, a real or perceived shift towards financial conservatism will likely push metals down. The Fed announcing hundreds of billions of new dollars for QE2 will push metals up. Since the two are happening almost concurrently it will be a battle to see which is stronger. Personally, I think you can not print that much money without seeing commodities soar, so my bet for the foreseeable future is that metals will continue to rise. $1650 is coming.

In my opinion, the possible change of power in the House (and maybe the Senate) will not mean that much. Probably just more gridlock in Washington DC. The new Congress whores with new promises will end up breaking those promises with old excuses. No matter what party is in control, the "car" (U.S. economy) will end up in the "ditch". Before today (November 2), Washington D.C. was nothing but a place of pimps (Lobbyist pimps) and whores (Congress whores). After today...........Washington D.C. will still be a place of pimps and whores.

Predictions:

1. QE will continue

2. Gold, silver, food and other goods and services will go up because of prediction # 1

3. U.S. $ will continue to go down because of prediction # 1

4. Bad legislation will still get passed

5. Obamacare will NOT get repealed

6. 1099 reporting will NOT get repealed

5. Everybody will get a tax hike starting on January 1, 2011 (i.e. Bush tax cuts will expire).

BO is there to block them, and the Senate control is till up in the air.

Check and balances (to a degree).

I vote Libertarian anyway, and have been since 1996.

Both Rs and Ds make me sick.

First thing the "new" Congress will do is raise the National Debt Ceiling another $2 Trillion.

Yes, it is true that there is nobody I can vote for that has any chance of getting elected, or changing a damn thing. I don't like any of the people running for office this year.

However, it is also true that within the state measures, at least in California, I have a direct chance to change several of the laws of my state. State measures go into effect directly after they're counted, so Nov.3rd. If it wasn't for the state measures, I wouldn't see a point in voting.

I think voting your opinion on state measures, at least in California, is very important. You can pass any law you want with a simple majority. How exactly is that a suckers bet?

The only arguement I have heard against voting that makes any sense is the one that states that if you vote and lose, you are tacitly approving whatever the opposing side does to you. That kind of makes sense, but the solution, "Do nothing" isn't very attractive.
