Before people start talking smack about MAC, at home I use a MAC PowerBook G4 laptop that I purchased back in 2004 with a gig of RAM etc. During the 6 years I've dumped two beers into it, came home when we had a massive rain storm with the only leak in my house was directly going into the keyboard, and every time it was ON. Unplug it, turn it upside down, let the water drain and fire it back up in 24 hours, and bam, no worries. The ONLY issue I've ever had was with the HD slowing dying, which I replaced for $150 bucks.

So back to my recommendation. My MAC has been running kinda slow for the past month and then I realized I had a copy of DiskWarrior. Put that in, and rebuild file sequences and whammo, back to running like a charm. So if you're a MAC user, definitely get a copy of DiskWarrior, it's well worth it.

I have never owned a PC.

Bought my first Mac G4 in around 1998. I cannot stand Windows systems. But i do a lot of Music recording and artwork, so i went with Mac way back then....

General, what OS are you running?

I was running OSX but I've upgraded to Leopard. You can't get some of the newer upgrades because they went to the Intel processor, but it really does work well, especially if you run a defrag program like DiskWarrior periodically to keep the file organization in order.

I haven't the time to become a slave to or servant or worshipper of technology, it's literally against my religion. For example, my cell phone is a five y.o. Nokia 6010 and I have no plans to ever upgrade from that. I couldn't send a text on my cell phone to save my life. Say what you want, however my Mac has never crashed at all in the 3 years I've owned it. Prior to getting a Mac I never new what to expect from my PC, virus here, crash there, etc.
