This is a great time to unload your silver. Nobody will be reading the date on your "silver" dime when a loaf of bread costs fifty dollars.

Buy AGEs instead.

As was mentioned in another thread. DON'T GET EXCITED these types of movements are indicative of something BAD, VERY BAD happening. It's great for those of us that are holding PM's, but this volatility is indicative of ONE BASIC PROBLEM, and that is, OUR ECONOMY, YOU and YOUR FAMILIES SAFETY, and down the line are FUCKED. I think there might be about 2 weeks to prepare. ;)

Agreed that the trouble, the REAL trouble, is likely starting right now...

Let's not get TOO caught up in the rise of metal prices and stay cognizant of what it really means.

Eyes open, people...

SORRY to be a downer but I'm fucking scared tonight.

Then I started thinking about what the FDIC on July 21, 2010.

On July 21, 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act into law, which, in part, permanently raises the current standard maximum deposit insurance amount (SMDIA) to $250,000.

The reason they did this because they realized that the dollar was going to be a piece of shit, but a guaranteed piece of shit.

Tommy Boy says it best. Look if you want, I can shit in a box and mark it guaranteed, but all it is, is a guaranteed piece of shit.

"...but who is John Galt? A destroyer or a liberator?"

The people who will get their 'collective' a$$ handed to them are the people who created this monster - those who borrowed against their future and lived lavishly on the debt of nation paid for by the savers and the producers.

Payback is a bitch. I have warned all that I can. Tonight I got a message from a clueless friend of mine on Facebook regarding my warnings: She wrote on my wall: "Stop with this." Ok, so I banned her from seeing my posts. In a few months/weeks she will wake up to death at her door. TOO FREAKING BAD!

It's a double edged sword, on one hand it's great to see metals moving like they are but on the other hand we also know that it's potentially a harbinger of very bad things starting to happen. I'm praying for a major back slide, not only to be able to buy a bit more but also to be able to take care of some other prep items before S really does HTF.

Thanks, was wondering why silver AND the dollar are going up... pfft everyone in the basket is also printing money! We are all on the same sinking ship but this is a nicer way to hide it. The Philippine peso is going up in value compared to the USD but even they are printing! The more I look at this the crazier it's getting.

The silver high so far is $28.51. This is nuts. At this rate, it appears that we will see $30 silver later this week.

Thanks for pouring the "cold water" of economic reality on me. I get excited in these up moves in silver and yeah I am a silver cheerleader. Can you tell?

On a serious note, do not be sorry for being a downer. The current economic reality is a downer and you are just expressing that. The gov't can spin this bad economic reality into something good all they want until they turn blue in the face but Gold and Silver know the real truth and they are expressing that (via rising prices). Silver (and gold) going up the way they are just does not happen for no reason. Either way it will take more dollars to buy 1-oz of silver and 1-oz of gold and it will take more dollars to buy food and other goods and services.

QE2 is going to make things worse on ALL U.S citizens because we all are going to pay for it (via price increases in goods and services). The inflation "tax" is worse than any income tax increase because you cannot escape it if a person is holding FRNs. Of course you have the usual gov't bs going on in D.C. with new Congresswhores making promises that they will not keep. With all of that happening, you have a very good reason to be scared.
