I voted that $30 silver will happen this week. I will make a wild guess by saying that $30 silver will happen on Thursday (Nov. 11).

Not an unlikely guess actually. I guessed this month, but I think it is more likely within this week on second thought...

Same here. I picked up my last few gifts for the year this weekend. I paid 27 an ounce.

Time to buy more food and clothing.

I say this week if not today.

Ok , I'll go all out and say $ 30.02 on Thursday at 1:23 PM EST.
Then dropping to $ 25.73 at 11:58 AM EST on Friday.
Jumping to $32.18 sometime before the Turkey comes out of the oven.

I think we will hit 30 and then see a price correction for a short while. APMEX has way too much inventory still - a price correction down to the upper 20's to mid 20's would help clear out their inventory.

I took at look at APMEX last night, they have no 90% junk silver bags. No $110, no $500 and no $1000 bags.

NONE!

And I guess it's a good thing, $1000 face bag of 90% junk might be over 22K . . . . I am sure the Franklin Halves would be!

I've been expecting a correction since we hit $25. Nothing goes up forever but the metals are testing that theory. Investors are going to seek profit at some point, right?

They have 5 @ 1000 face bags. I saw them last night also. 20.5 x face ! I think we are seeing massive short covering, and this may take some time.

I went to mey dealer yesterday and he had dam near nothing.

I had to settle for a 7 mercury dimes ( 2 bucks and piece) and a unmarked silver round for 24 bucks.

The choice stuff is gone

The High prices bring out the freaks that know nothing other than it is going up.

Wild times.

In my neck of the woods, fully 99% of folk are completely oblivious to the PM markets and don't own gold and silver save some jewelry. We have not entered the explosive bubble mania phase yet. The potential upside for gold and silver is huge. ;D

I think that is exactly what is going on. It's the PAPER price at COMEX and LBMA coming unraveled.

I also think the miners have a lot of catching up to do. In other words, this is a fantastic time to buy mining stocks because they are very cheap compared to the metal price.

Agreed. And the move into PMs has not been an investment fad. It has been a fear of dollar devaluation- just like the stock market. The only thing that could make this turn into a PM bubble would be an increase in dollar value..... like that is going to happen. I think this blasted cruise ship already left harbor and I am pissed.... I had hoped things would have unfolded a little differently but the damned government fvkked up the system. Lesson learned- don't plan on the future unfolding in a reasonable way.

I think were gonna come in just under $30 before we have a hard correction down into the low to mid 20's and then a slow slide back into the high teens, then a slooooooow rise back into the low 20's for a new floor.

Were coming into an odd numbered year and those are almost predictably slow for PM's.

But this is all just a wild guess. ;D

Will the fed & treasury pull another game of pumping the dollar up? Maybe... but only for temporary show. It is possible for silver to drop at times. We have seen that the market is full of volatility and change. Longer term- the dollar value must drop or default becomes the slayer.

For some reason, the silver miners are lagging the silver price today - buying opportunity - I just added 2000 more of SIL to my present position. All my paper silver is in CEF, the largest block of shares in my portfolio. I wouldn't touch GLD or SLV with a ten foot pole.

gld and slv only exist to siphon away from the physical market on purpose. they knew money was headed toward au and ag, so they created them to stave off the inevitable rush to physical. at some point those 2 clowns will implode. so, good call mamboni ;D

Profit-taking and the dollar, the latter is just an excuse to do the former.
