I can definitely see how this is an attempt to marginalize "white pride" as a bad thing. In fact, it's the only race where it's bad to be proud.

Jewish Pride, Latino Pride, Black Pride, I've seen shirts with these slogans.

Never understood this whole race pride thing personally. Taking pride in something that is out of your hands just doesn't make sense to me. Why not be proud of having a predisposition to irritable bowl syndrome or fallen arches.

Be proud of what you achieve. Not what the universe randomly bequeaths you.

Many wise people would say be proud of who you are (what the universe randomly bequeathed you), a life spent chasing the carrot leads to depression and death. Although I would agree if your pride comes not from within yourself but in comparison to perceived deficiencies in others, this is not 'good' pride but vanity or hubris.

The inclusion of pride rather than vanity or hubris in the cardinal's 7 sins was mainly about servant class repression IMO. And what better describes the cardinal class other than a dogma of vanity and hubris.

All other things being equal, in a power stuggle between two groups, one having pride in their ancestry and the other none, the outcome is predetermined. This is why they have destroyed ours.
