Hi, Trinity. That's interesting what you said about the diamond and rare gem business. I don't doubt it for a minute, especially in the diamond market. Another problem I see is that a person would have to acquire a lot of knowledge about how to appraise gem stones to avoid being scammed.

I view the naked body scanners at airports, and likely soon to be in bus stations and on the roads, as more of a move towards capital controls than anything else. Jews in Pre-WWII Europe, especially those who didn't see the signs of emerging anti-Semitic fascism soon enough, had little choice but to convert their assets into precious gems in order to escape with any resources.

The possible sudden need to escape from an increasingly oppressive police state is the only reason I can see for the need to convert from metal (easily detectable) to mineral.
