back up your system if you like what you have now,, system image, + backup.
Seen too many cry of lost shit..

Backing up the My Documents folder regularly is basic, but otherwise do a fresh install wtshtf. Great opportunity to then update all the drivers and software to the latest versions knowing that this fresh install also eliminates any possible still-hidden cooties.
