While I agree with Jims headline commentary I really don't understand how that equates with Russia joining the Euro???

Russian President Medvedev holding up a gold coin as "the future currency". Keep in mind that the Euro is "backed" by gold (theoretically....)..

Oh, the irony.
The problem is the Russian Fed Bank (and it isn't clear who owns it either) minted a bunch of gold coins, that only a year later showed signs of wear and rust. Yes, rust. They were shown on national television. Russian Central bank had no comment, of course.
Just so that you know the chances of making this "mistake" by mistake by a group of federal people, due to very tight control from FSB (former KGB), are slim to none. So chances are russian central bank is probably a) private, and b) owned by some european banksters.
Basically, somebody have stolen and hoarded all the gold, and whatever is left right now being minted and sold to the poor guy, and a lot of it is fake, like tungsen bars, like russian "gold" coins, like fake chinese pandas. Maybe that's why Rothschilds quit gold trading in 2004? who knows

No,no thats pure Russian gold it was seen on TV ,it just happens to have the slight problem of rusting with a year. Great long term investment ,in 10 yrs its all gone eaten out from the insides
Actually when you think about it ,this rusting gold reminds me of fiat and how it is rusting away until the only thing holding it together will be the rust,or are we already at that stage. When you can see thru fiat as a lot of people can now then maybe this means fiat has giant rust holes in it.

Putin: Russia will join the euro one day
Vladimir Putin said it is "quite possible" that Russia will one day join the eurozone and create a currency that would eclipse the US dollar as the global reserve standard.

Here's article in english about rust on russian gold:

Not that all gold is rusted. and it is possible that 99% of it isn't rusted. and it is possible that some mafia is printing fake gold coins. Just like in US private financial mafia is printing stocks, dollars, government bonds etc.
