What a bunch of BS.
This whole interview puts a spin on things that are good..and uses it to bash Californians. Hard work, positive attitudes, willingness to shoulder the responsibilities and challenges faced. These are good things, these values built our country to begin with.
Then to go on and say we all worship money, the very money we busted our ass to provide for our families in this over-priced, over-taxed, state?
Maybe sitting around bitching and moaning works for Europeans, but don't expect us to sit around like that.

Here here! As a fellow member of the GSUS California contingent I back every word of this. The true California spirit is self-determination against all odds and assuming responsibility for our lives. Anyone that does that will prevail here or anywhere else. That's the biggest problem with modern society, in that the expectation of charity has replaced elbow grease. If America wasn't a country of pussies we'd be hanging the bastards responsible instead of pretending to be good citizens.

Basically what she says in part 3. US are go getters and work things out but in Europe there is none of that happening...yet
