In ten episodes, Band of Brothers depicts how E (“Easy”) Company, 506th Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, trained in America and England and then fought from D-Day through to the end of the European phase of WWII. It is a technically strong and gripping production. The battle scenes are among the most realistic I have seen, though one must allow for the demands of the cinematic medium — emphasis of a few individuals and spatial compression of combat groups. I am reminded of the grim and gritty street battle sequences in Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan. This review looks at the ninth episode, which does not depict military conflict but is itself something of a black operation in the culture wars.

As our own Edmund Connelly has repeatedly demonstrated, Jewish interests have frequently been pushed by American television and Hollywood films in various ways, often as a backdrop to stories unrelated to ethnicity, like the omnipresent upper class Anglo twit and the Black genius technical expert. The 9th episode of Band of Brothers, titled “Why We Fight”, represents an unprecedented level of ambition — to claim America’s WWII sacrifices as motivated by the desire to save Jews from Nazi persecution, to make America’s sacrifice in WWII all about the Jews, not about Americans doing their duty in a tragic internecine conflict.

I am reading the book right now. After the book, I plan on watching the episodes. I've seen bits and pieces of the movie, and really look forward to watching the full thing now the I can identify with the characters.

The characters are real actually, there's pictures of the folks in the book.

I'd very much recommend it. However, I have a big curiosity with WWII actually, the soldiers that landed on D-Day, their stories and their courage is really something.

i've watched band of brothers twice. there is hardly any reference to jews in the entire series. the whole holocaust part of it is maybe 11 minutes or so in one episode. it's very minimal.

i thought the series focused almost entirely on the characters themselves + and their inner demons that the war brought out. it also paints the germans as normal people, not "nazi monsters."

i liked it.

One of my favorite war movie ever ( even if it is in a serie format )

IMO all of the episodes must be watched in one big sequence, one after the other over the course of the same weekend.

You will then not just watch the Easy company's but be a part of the Easy company. Instead of being just a viewer, you will feel like you are on the front line and they are actually your brothers.

Highly recommend it but like i have said, watch all the sequence like one big big movie that last for a couple of hours.

Bring a lot of popcorn, soft drinks and candies at the ready.

A hand gun and an AR15 on the coffee table are a bonus. ( you might like to fondle them at times, make sure they are not loaded !!! ) ;D

Also bring a pair of gloves and wool socks for the winter episode, you will definitely need it ! ;)


This is a very good idea! Once I finish the book, I'll make a whole rain day weekend out of watching the series.

One of the most exciting reads is a book "With the Old Breed", by E.B. Sledge. It's about the Pacific, Peleliu and Okinawa.

The thought of storming the beaches like they did back then...wow is right!

Oy vey, ONE Star of Satan in how many dead soldiers, but in EVERY recent WWII there's a jewish character. Since jews make up 2% of the population so there should be 1 jew for every 50 dead Christians, and I think you can see that's obviously NOT the case. I think they preferred to only fire bomb Dresden which was filled with women and children.

As for Normandy, why kill one set of White people (Germans) and leave the others (Allies) safe, when you can have them kill each other all the while running up a huge tab with the bankers?

How did WWII advance freedom? How did it help any of the countries involved?

The only one that I can see who benefited is k ikestan and the jew bankers, monetarily of course but also sealing the deal on one world government.
