Pigs will head for the feeding trough. And those of us a mere rung above the free lunch swarm will look for the easy way out. Day tripper.

I watch this and imagine them all, in the future not far off, not grabbing at video games, but loaves of bread and bottles of water.

Sorry for this thread. It really is depressing, isn't it?

And we have not seen much of it. This is why I have felt sick for the last few weeks. I am deeply disturbed by the place we are in and I know the kind of stuff that is coming.

What Bread and Water??

There wont be any of that my good sir.

It reminds me of those clips of third world nations receiving food aid from the UN. Clawing at each other to get theirs.

this is precisely why i moved my family out to the country. when they are clamoring for food instead of ipads, i want to be a 7 mile walk away. probably won't save us, but at least they'll be tired by the time they get here.

Yes- a good rule. The problem I am facing is that I think I have conflicting responsibilities. Without going into details, I do not have the ability at the moment to do the things I think I should be doing. The troubling inside is that I must find a way to do better.

Don't place quite so much weight on your shoulders. Do what you can and keep moving the ball in the right direction. Small steps, while retaining maximum sanity along the way, is the only way to play out your life. You won't do anyone any good should you worry yourself to death.
