Unabomber's Montana land for sale; 'very secluded' (http://www.connectmidmichigan.com/news/story.aspx?list=194382&id=550187)

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A 1.4-acre parcel of land in western Montana that was once owned by Unabomber Ted Kaczynski is on the market for $69,500.

The listing offers potential buyers a chance to own a piece of "infamous U.S. history" and says the forested land "is obviously very secluded." It's listed by John Pistelak Realty of Lincoln.

The Lincoln-area property, which had been listed at $154,500, does not have electricity or running water. Kaczynski was critical of technology. A website listing of the property indicates that price had been slashed by more than half.

The property does not include Kaczynski's cabin, which is on display at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

Kaczynski is serving a life sentence for killing three people and injuring 23 during a nationwide bombing spree between 1978 and 1995.

A little steep for my pocket book.

Methinks one would have to be a blithering idiot to pay that price , for 1.4 acres no mater who owned it and to be connected to that kind of history, forget it!

The Unabomber's cabin is on display at the newseum in Washington, DC........now lets think about this. Why the hell would they display his little cabin in a museum?

What is the anticipated psychological response to seeing the little cabin and associating it with the Unabomber?

You know the answer, don't you?

Nice find and good point.

Who else would live alone way out in the sticks? Not someone running up credit card debt and looking for public assistance.

And I'm sure they don't let the public know how the government subjected him to mind control experiments while he attended Harvard.
