Unfortunately, my kids won't eat chili yet. So it's chicken noodle soup & crescent rolls.

How's your weather in Lake Wobegon Banjo?

I do hope to have snow by Jan 11, or before, because that's when I have to go to court on a traffic violation... it did happen before back in 2004 and they dismissed the case the day before after I called them to tell them that I could not get out of my driveway.

We all have a chili resp, I suggest other than the norm, what ever that is, because there is not a norm. Take any beef meat/venison, and do not grind it , mince it,(tiny chunking) to say not the same as grinding it, and then add you favorite ingredients, If done right you chili will have a texture that will be interesting along with the taste!

Not to discriminate against other than beef/venison, but being old school, chili is not a chili if you use anything else! Also the school I learned in , you can stick a spoon in it and it should stand by its self. thick and rib sticking and body warming!

Just a thought!

It was a temperate day here in Taxachusetts.
It's OK though, I must put in a whole new drive train for the snowblower soon, not looking forward to it.

Nothing wrong with some good old chicken noodle soup! I'll be whipping up some pheasant noodle soup myself tomorrow. I've actually moved out of the Lake Woebegon area recently, I guess that I need to update my profile. : ) I have slipped behind the cheddar curtain and we have gotten plenty of snow so far today over here, and its not over yet.

Just looking at those pics sends chills up my spine. I'm afraid I've turned into a total cold weather wuss, as of right this second it's 50 degrees and I have the flannels on, wrapped in a heavy duty blanket with my lil' ceramaic heater blasting on me, out in the garage.

The worst part is that I'm dreading this forecast (SW Fl)...

Sunday Night conditions will be blustery and colder with temperatures falling into the 40's. By Monday morning, wind chills will be in the 30's with gusty NW winds near 20 to 25mph. Highs on Monday will stay in the mid to upper 50's with mostly cloudy skies. Skies will clear out Monday night which will allow for another freeze for areas away from the gulf.

Temperatures will remain well below average through Wednesday with highs staying in the 50's and lows in the 30's.

Every winter I think about some little place on the equator.

Metrodome Roof Collapses

http://cbsminnesota.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/aviles.jpg?w=420

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The weight of all the snow that fell Saturday has caused the roof of the Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis to collapse.

About half of the panels on the roof are down.

The Minnesota Vikings and the NFL are meeting now to try to determine what to do about the game against the New York Giants. The game, which was originally scheduled for today at noon, had earlier been moved to Monday evening because of the snow.

The Vikings are planning a press conference at 10 a.m. Watch the news conference live on WCCO Sunday Morning and here on WCCO.COM

Because there is no Vikings game on Sunday, WCCO-TV will air a doubleheader, starting at noon today, with the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Cincinnati Bengals.

OMG. I am sorry that anybody has to go through that crap. I hate winter with a passion.
Most people daydream about "whatever", but I daydream about my garden buried under the snow
& dream about the smell of fresh picked basil. Uhhhhhhh.
Hang in there.

Yes all you folks in that snow Hang in there ! its 57 here and supposed to rain this next week, I don't mind the rain but I don't think I would do well in 0 degree weather! extremes, I don't like them .

Sheff and Athena Priest came to the Central Coast to buy hot sauce for their Seafood Restaurant in Minneapolis. "It's different than any hot sauce that we can get anywhere in the midwest and it's delicious and we love it. It's become our signature hot sauce at the restaurant" says Sheff.
T he couple was supposed to fly home from S an D iego on S aturday morning. "T hey told us that all flights had been cancelled associated with the M inneapolis I nternational A irport because of the snow " says Athena.
The Priest's didn't complain about being stuck in California instead of Minnesota which has two feet of snow on the ground and temperatures hovering around zero. The couple came back to the Central Coast and will fly back to Minneapolis on Tuesday morning. "We keep telling our family that were going to get home just as fast as we can but were not expecting any sympathy after they see the sun burn on our foreheads. After they've been buried in the snow for three days" says Sheff.
The couple spent their extra time in the state driving through wine country, seal watching and hanging out at the beach. They's a driveway full of snow awaiting their return to Minnesota.
