if you want to buy an EMI shielded sleeve ... but honestly, home made sleeve using aluminum foil will block RF too.

Seems he just wants to sell more products. You have to really put the scanner close to read it. Really if you want protection, don't buy the sleeve, just call the credit card company and tell them you want a card without the rfid chip in it.

My passport ID card that the government sent me came with a foil sleve.....there must be a reason for it, however, the passport itself is 1/3 thicker and with no protective sleve,they even tell you that it has a chip in it.
