An Army doctor who refused to deploy to Afghanistan because he challenged President Obama's eligibility for office has pleaded guilty to refusing orders.
Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, of Greeley, Col., pleaded guilty to one of two charges against him, and his court martial continues today in a military court in Maryland. Lakin faces up to 18 months in prison and dismissal from the service.
The trial deals with Lakin's actions, not Obama's citizenship -- Obama was born Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Lakin, who has become a cause celebre among those who do not believe Obama was born in the United States, told the court he should not have refused to meet with superiors.
"I was praying and soul searching," Lakin told the court. "I believed there was a question that needs to be answered to ensure a valid chain of command. But I had asked every question, done everything else I could short of disobeying orders, without success."

I'm not fan of Obama, but I've always believed he was born in Honolulu in 1962, because 2 newspapers published his birth, then.
Can someone correct me if I'm wrong on this?
Thanx.

Yes, you are wrong in your conclusion. A newspaper clipping in a Honolulu newspaper announcing the birth of Vladimir Putin does not prove that he was born in the USA. There is a reason why the birth certificate document was invented. When I applied for medical staff membership, the credentials committee demanded (amongst other documents) a legal birth certificate. Why the POTUS who has his finger on the nuclear button, enjoys the highest levels of clearance and access to all manner of national secrets, and signs into law the rules that you and I have to live by, should not have to produce a legal birth certificate is beyond me.
Americans who do not demand that the government uphold the laws of the land have abdicated their basic constitutional rights and deserve to be treated like stupid ignorant cowardly sheeple.

A military jury will decide Lakin's eventual sentence, but Lakin won't be able to raise the topic he wanted to as part of his original defense: whether Obama was born in the U.S. and therefore can serve as commander in chief.

It looks like the Obama regime shut down the court's ability to investigate the underlying issue: the commander-in-chief's status. This is crucial and without it, the officer is screwed. In the military, there is no hope for appeals or truth. They are pretty well locked into a voluntary (initially) straightjacket. It sounds like they took away his ability to bring information into the trial.

He doesn't need to raise the issue of Obama not being an American.
All he has to do is raise the issue that he didn't follow orders because they were not issued from a legitimate and eligible Commander in Chief.
From there, the truth will come out.

It seems like everything short of proof has been offered as proof.
There's the birth announcement in the papers:
If I got pulled over for driving without a license, I can't point to a "congratulations on getting your license Ash!" thing in the classifieds of my local paper. That won't be cool in court.
Then there were the various media articles about people high up in Hawaii confirming that he was born there.
And again, I can't walk into court with a VHS tape of a news program where someone at the motor vehicles office tells a reporter I have a license. That would be ridiculous.
Finally, I couldn't scan my license, then put that image up on a website, and tell the court to just get on the net and check it out. Even if I had a random website say it was legit.
Everything he's provided has fallen so far short of actual proof that it's silly.
If you tried any of that stuff to prove you had a driver's license you'd be laughed out of court.

He doesn't need to raise the issue of Obama not being an American.
A newscaster on FOX a few weeks ago said Obama hisself is the one who keeps raising the subject again, and again.
Ya see, true guilt won't quit.

Obama himself never said that he was born in the US but rather goes around the question by making jokes about it........it has never been proven that hes an American and to be the president is against the law.
First post of the day.........good morning to one and all.

Exactly!!!! This POTUS vis-a-vis BC controversy has all the hallmarks of a fraud in progress. For a supposedly intelligent man, 0bama is stultifying slow to draw the most obvious conclusion from this controversy: producing the original BC is the best and most effective way to make the whole sordid affair go away!
The man is a fraud and a lair. Prove me wrong.

hahaaha he said he was from krypton (like superman)...
On his image: "Who is Barack Obama? Contrary to the rumors you have heard, I was not born in a manger. I was actually born on Krypton and sent here by my father Jor-El to save the Planet Earth. Many of you know that I got my name, Barack, from my father. What you may not know is Barack is actually Swahili for 'That One.' And I got my middle name from somebody who obviously didn't think I'd ever run for president. If I had to name my greatest strength, I guess it would be my humility. Greatest weakness, it's possible that I'm a little too awesome." --at the Al Smith Dinner

It's too late for that. Even an original, at this point, would be a suspected forgery.
He should have come clean from the start. There is no recovery at this point.
He will always be an ineligible imposter to me.

It will never be shown, in the vary first couple executive orders they covered himself and any other presidents personal information including the BC. After enacting such a law he convinced many of the true happenings. I wish I had a link to the exact wording used in this.

Because there are some subjects you just don't joke about, period. Jesus jokes don't go down well in front of Roman Catholic Clergy. And for POTUS to joke about the birth certificate controversy is in supreme bad taste. 0bama is arrogant, rude, combatic, dogmatic and elitist: all the personal qualities that you DON'T want in a President.
