I havent played it but was a big fan of the first one.

I got Battlefield: Bad Company 2 instead of MW 2 and from everything I hear, I am very glad I did. Not to mention Battlefield: BC2 VIETNAM is coming out in a couple days (for 15 bucks as an expansion)!!!!

MW2 is amazing.

Black Ops is where it's at right now.

MW3 is set for release in the spring, but there are issues with Activision and Infinity Ward, so Treyarch may be doing the next MW release, which is fine with me, based on their release of Black Ops.
(Which is awesome)

MW 2 is no doubt an amazing game. I have recently gotten into a game called Arma II which is more focused on realism and graphic detail on PC. Not sure if it has been released on other platforms.

Black Ops BLOWS!

I sold it the very next day.

The graphics look like from 5 years ago and the online game play stinks.

I have heard no word on MW3 but if Infinity Ward is behind it, I will be all over it.

P.S. Sorry GSUS for this geek thread...

Everything seems boring waiting for the silver explosion.

BTW I think we are at a crucial point looking at the chart.

I'm a MW2 veteren gamer, and there is just no way that Black Ops blows.

I don't care about campaigns: I finished the game in one sitting of a few hours.

I am into the online multiplayer free-for-all. In this aspect, it does not blow at all. It's fantastic.

Unfortunatley, the Total War franchise has been going drasticaly down hill since Barbarian Invasion, when Sega took over as publisher. Medieval II was a fantastic game, after 5 patches and the private modders getting ahold of it.

Empire Total war was a total bust, IMO, even after 4 patches, an expansion patch and the only way I have ever found it remotley enjoyable is through the Darth Mod, which completley makes the game. Then they had the balls to release Napolean total war, which is basicaly just an expansion pack, but as a stand alone at full game prices after they already stole our $60 for Empire.

I am VERY dissapointed with total war and refuse to buy another one of their games until the modders have perfected their mods. I'll wait to see what happens with shogun, as the first one was fantastic. if Darth makes a good mod for it, i might consider buying it, but he pretty much gave up after Napolean (which I havent bought), though he is still modding for Empire.

I am a HUGE believer in attacking ideas and individuals instead of groups.

You mention Jew or Black anything like that people automatically shut down.

Or worse you get called bad names.

Show people picture of how the Israelis treat the Palestinians, you have a conversation.

Plus not all Jews are in on the game of Zionism, it is unfair to those people.

I have seem Rabbis against the Synagogue Of Satan and see the Seal of Solomon (Star of David) as a Satanic symbol.

Now if you attack Zionism, or say Paul Wolfowitz the Anti semetic thing does not work.

I think this tactic is something we need to further the discussion and help the Liberty Movement grow.

Everyone has their own views on the most effective way to spread the Truth.

Some (like myself) are more outspoken than others. Regardless of whether or not you agree with Awoke, me, wildcard, book etc etc doesn't matter but you can at least understand why we are more cautious about divulging our personal details.

Then you have General Of Dickstabbing ;D who is out in the open in the most marxist state in the union and he seems fine so far. So who knows, regardless like Awoke I keep my personal life for the most part separate from the internet.

I get why the secrecy.

Nobody wants to be called names or be hunted down.

Two thoughts...

One, do you really think those that you are hiding from couldn't find you?

And two, what do you feel is ultimately more effective, saying it's the Jews or attacking the ideas and individuals that give the elite power?

Hitler tried the first and was successful for awhile, but all he did was create a bunch of mass murdering racists which were ultimately defeated.

I would rather go deeper and cut at the root of their power by discrediting their systems and persecute the individuals that commit these crimes against humanity.

Many of you do not realize how important and influential you all are going to be wtshtf.

I would ask that you think about what kind of world you are going to create, one based off of fear or one based off of reason?

P.S. Never say anything online that you would not say face to face.

It's difficult to discern tone via text (at least for me) so hopefully I am not supposed to take offense at "hiding" and "don't say anything that you wouldn't face to face"

If I was "hiding" I wouldn't be online.

I've never said anything online to anyone that I wouldn't say to their face, make sure you do likewise.

As to what is more effective I say it's the jews because that is what my research has led me to. I know it's a pill most people don't want to swallow (hell even you don't) but at the end of the day it's none of my concern, I say what I think and have factual evidence to back up all of my claims. If you or someone else doesn't like it that's your problem.

Saying that it is just "zionism" is a weak, passive aggressive way of saying that they are very racist. That they don't look on anyone else as human but rather cattle and treat them accordingly. Sure you have a handful (literally) of jews who denounce "zionism" but do they denounce jewish pornographers, central bankers, those pushing abortion, homosexuality, feminism, putting filth in our childrens minds via TV, the Talmud which preaches all sort of blasphemy and evil? Hell no. But WE do and you say that we live in fear and our racists anti semites? Get real.

So go ahead continue to say that it is just "zionists" I don't give a damn if you choose to exclude the above mentioned people who wreck nations, but I don't. As I have said many times and nobody has called me on it, name 1 major problem that the US is facing today and I will show you the jew behind it.

At the end of the day I will be judged on MY actions, not anyone elses.

As for post SHTF, if I were a leader I would create a society where jews weren't welcome. Read into that what you will.

Is anyone looking forward to Shogun 2? I've been waiting 8 years for this game, since I discovered Shogun.

I'm even more old school, I didn't care for Rome very much, it and all of the succeeding TW titles lacked the atmosphere of Shogun and Medieval. They felt soulless. But it's hard to put soul into the many cultures of Europe, let alone the world. It was only possible in Medieval 1 because those low-quality sprites left much to the imagination.

With Shogun 2 it's possible to have culture again though, since Japan only has 1 culture it can be highly developed. I heard they were bringing back talent from Shogun 1 which gives me hope.

I think thatll be the one saving grace of Shogun. Its one country, with many regions and fiefdoms, but its still much more limited in scope than previous titles.

I actualy think that Rome was the best of the series. Its a personal perspective though and even rome needed LOTS of patches before it really shined. The mods are what made all the other games for me though. Darth mods the games to what they should have been at realease, but I dont think anything flopped more on release than Empire.

I just re downloaded darths latest mods and started playing Empire again the other day. Even have Darth Mod 6.7 and 5 patches from CA, there are still very broken, hardcoded issues with the battles and the AI.

If they use the same engine and coding for Shogun that they did in Napolean and Empire...itll likley flop too. They are after the money now, and I doubt they are going to go back to their roots anytime soon, especialy with sega controlling them. Our only salvation may be that overwhelming negative out cry and tongue lashings they got after Empire was released. It was not pretty at all on the CA forums for over a year.

I take your meaning SS and since I haven't delved to deeply in to SoLA I can't comment on the material. I do think sites that do not discuss jews or 9/11 have a purpose and so long as they do not misdirect and lie (such as Alex "arabs run hollywood" Jones) they serve as an important bridge from taking people from being completely asleep to understanding that there is more going on than what the MSM indoctrinates them with.

Once people get to the point where they question things and actually THINK for themselves the battle is as good as won. At this point they will be skeptical of what the MSM tells them, and begin to get their information from free and unbiased sources. This takes people down different paths to an extent and since so much of what gets discussed at sites like GSUS is conjecture there will be a very wide variety of viewpoints on issues. Since so many topics that we all discuss cannot be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt since none of us were there or have inside information. So long as everyone is intellectually honest I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with me.

I hope you have a good Christmas as well and hopefully tonight I can devote some time to checking out the SoLA.

I'm guessing none of you fantasy players have ever seen actual mortal combat up close and personal, 'cause if you had you wouldn't be getting a charge out of playing video games the purpose of which are depicting same.

No argument there however I don't think SS started this thread to discuss brainwashing in the video game industry.

No analysis needed. There's a very real *game* just outside the door of your own house in the real world. Instead of "stand(ing), like men" many prefer escapism via video games. Imagine the very real positive *points* one would rack up in the very real *game* if one listened to Rod Class on AIB radio and used that knowledge to engage the real world bad actors rather than taking the escapism route.

Psst I run three websites, two YouTube channels, post on 6 forums and spent 6 years putting together the Sons of Liberty Academy, all in my spare time.

I spend enough time in the real world and enjoy the escapism.

So what if I like getting my ass kicked by 12 year old kids online with Modern Warfare 2, what is it to you?

I spent 7 years in the Marine Infantry and I would much rather play war than be in it.

That being said the game is not the best thing for you, I am much more aggressive when I play.

As with all things in life moderation is the key.

"There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one that is striking at the root."

A couple of questions for you: How many court wins have you racked up? Have you ever been thrown in jail over your activities?

I spent 7 years in the Marine Infantry and I would much rather play war than be in it.

Merely being in the service means nothing to me. Have you: Ever been in for real up close and personal mortal combat where both parties were trying their HARDEST to kill the other (I'm not talking about shooting at the enemy from a distance where you never get to see the whites of their eyes)? Have you ever been a POW for an extended period of time (as in years)? Have you ever been seriously wounded in mortal combat and/or seen your buddy die right next to you as a result of same?

So what if I like getting my ass kicked by 12 year old kids online with Modern Warfare 2, what is it to you?

Do you really think exposing young children to senseless death and destruction (which does NOTHING but serve the beast system) is a productive use of your time? Have you ever considered coaching kids in sports (baseball, soccer, football, hockey, etc.) or getting involved in youth organizations (Boy Scouts, 4-H, etc.) instead, so as to get them away from the mind-numbing and spiritually destructive video games?

I work with 4-H kids for one thing, it gets them away from the spiritually destructive Satanic video games.

I also "undergo the fatigue" of supporting liberty as a man per Thomas Paine.

Kindly tell me how playing warfare video games makes the world a better place and makes you a better man. Ken, you claim to be a Christian, yet you play Satanic video games - I cannot fathom how you miss the incongruity.

That's nice.

I guess I forgot to list playing with my kids and their friends as fighting for liberty.

No my kids don't play MW2, it is definitely a 18+ game.

I also don't let them drink alcohol since that too is inappropriate for my 5 year old and 2 year old.

Now that you have shat on my silly little thread and claimed moral superiority, what pray tell is your contribution to the liberty movement?

I am responding against better judgement and if SS wants me to delete this post I will since I don't like to engage thread hijackers.

So when was it when video games became "satanic" was it pong? Mario? Duke Nukem? Halo? Modern Warfare 2?

The case can be made that they are a time waster, but going so far as to say they are satanic is going to need some defending.

As for video games, I live over an hour away from where I grew up, so I can jump on XBL and talk to my closest friends and it's the closest to hanging out that we can do from a distance. Not to mention other people like Awoke and wildcard who I can talk to for free and many times we are discussing current events.

Not that I need to explain myself, but I work a lot in my regular job very rarely under 50 hours per week. Hell I worked today Saturday which is my birthday. I also work outside of my regular job which at times demands much of my mental energy and time. Last I run my website and have for over 3 years, it is imperative that I stay informed so that I can post pertinent articles to avoid them going down the memory hole.

So this in total takes up the vast majority of my day and in turn my life. So if I want to jump on XBL, do some races with friends or kill some people in black ops to relax the very last thing I want is someone to jump on their damn high horse and try to give people a guilt trip because their version of fun is different than mine.

I think it pompous as all hell for you to come in here act like some battle hardened rambo badass and attempt to take some moral high ground about video games while getting in a pissing contest about who does the most for the cause of Liberty.

It doesn't make the the world a better place. Or me a better person. No one here claimed it did.

It's a game. Its no more "Satanic" than the rest of the world. People say movies and music are "Satanic" also.

I put on the full armor of God every day. And I Let the Holy Spirit guide me.

I don't play it often...but when I have, I have never felt convicted while playing.

Maybe I should have never claimed to be a Christian here. Because I don't want to be stumbling block for anyone :-[

If anyone feels that video Games are sinful and/or "Satanic" they should not play them.

The best IMO is Call of Duty:Black Ops, followed by Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2

Another game that is getting a lot of raving is Battlefield 2, and the Halo sieres has a huge following, but I personally can't get into that game.

If I was to recommend anything, as in 1,2 and 3, I would say Black Ops, Battlefield 2 and Fallout New Vegas.

It's hard to say, I'm assuming you mean current gen consoles like the 360 or PS3.

If so a lot of it has to do with how many people play it. One of the things that make the popular games better is that way more people play them so you don't have trouble finding a match.

There are a lot of variables but I would say (in no particular order)

1)Any of the Halo series
2)Any of the Call of Duty series (after Modern Warfare) as in MW, MW2, World At War, or Black ops. (I personally think that MW2 is the best in the series)
3)The Orange Box is a good value for money, I really enjoyed Portal alot and I think that Half-Life's level design and gradual increase in difficulty is the best of any game I've ever played (at least in the genre) For example the game is always challenging but there are never any parts that just piss you off because they are poorly designed or stupidly difficult to the point where you play the same part for an hour.

Fallout 3 was a really good game (I'm sure New Vegas is as well) but I wouldn't classify them as FPS's.

Thanks for your list NB. Awoke helped me understand that online play with others is essential. Originally, I thought about buying a console and playing some FPS games solo but I understand now that would soon become really boring.

The failing of a console for an FPS is the joystick control for aiming, nothing beats and index finger on a mouse button for that.

Maybe they have some sort of gun add on controller these days, I dunno?

I just play with the ones my son has downloaded & ported for the PC.

I dug F.E.A.R. 2, it has that slow motion thing for the old timers like me.

Fallout new vegas also has aa freeze motion targeting, but as nordic said is more of a quest, or items game. Still fun as hell.

MW2 was difficult enough on the PC, I would hate to use one of those standard console controllers to play it.

But for me the game was to linear (there was like 2 ways of getting something done), I like a more opened field as Fallout & others.

I have been a gamer for most of my life, and I have spent a lot of time on PC's and consoles.

I prefer the consols for FPS games. Not to be intentionally disagreeable, but I just prefer it for a couple reasons.

The mouse control is good for noobs, but once a gamer gets experienced with dual analog joystick control, I find it much easier, faster and accurate to use the Console with joysticks.

Also, I hate the hackers that cheat and perform mods on their software in order to decimate all other players. It's no fun if you're playing cheaters/modders, and on the PC online game hosts, there are a ton of them.

There are modders on the consoles, but not nearly as many. I have a gaming PC, and I love my Xbox.

Joysticks are for homos, and couch potatatoes that sit 8feet away from their field :P

Yeah, there are no multiplayer PC games anymore, that is a shame. :'(

Yeah, 2142 is still going quite strong, but it took a decent hit a few months ago when Bad Company 2 was released.

For me there's nothing else like it, because nothing else has squad play like 2142. I don't run around by myself, I like having a team of 5-6 guys that know their roles, work together, and stick together. One good squad can make quick work of an entire team.

You're 100% correct on that. They still have the squad based system in BC2, but hardly anyone actualy plays as a squad. Its pretty much free for all and you use squad mates to repawns on, thats about it. A real shame really. I think a big part was that for some reason, DICE never got the team and squad voice speak thing working. Sometimes it works, but rarley ever, so no one uses it therefore you're stuck with typing and thats just a PITA in the middle of a fire fight.

I'll look around for 2142 and load it up if I can find it. I just got BFBC2-Vietnam though, but its getting old already.
