Looking for the perfect stocking stuffer? The Illinois State Fair“mega pass” is on sale for $50.
The pass is good for all 10 days of the state fair, plus preview night.
The $50 price is a $15 savings. The Illinois Department of Agriculture is offering the 2011 pass at the reduced rate through Wednesday. The passes can be purchased through the fair’s website or by calling 782-0775.
The 2011 Illinois State Fair will be held Aug. 12-21.
They used to just sell these things when the fair started. Walk up and buy your ticket. A few years ago they went a couple of weeks out before the start of the fair advertising these on sale.
But now they are shilling them 6 months before the fair?
Is this a new way to balance the current account budgets in the Dept of Ag? (Dept of Ag runs the Ill State Fair.)
I am surprised that they are not also hocking the mega pass to the carnival rides too.
