Living out in the woods and with trails going around them it would easier and faster to move around, in case of trouble by using a dirt bike.....also......because the new rule will be out by next year, about the $600.00 bit, I decided to do it now and stay out of the radar........and another reason is because of devualation of the dollar, better to get rid of it now......it is a small bike with only 200cc but because I din't get it to raise around with then this is plenty for me.

I am to danm old to be running around and will work on the bike to make more hush hush, those machines make to much noise as they are when you buy them.

Already have my two cars and two scooters under the carport so that now I have to find a place for this "new" toy :oo--> .........price? $1,167 with everything, electric start, shipping, parts for one year, body and frame for one year......here she is http://www.scooterdepot.us/200cc-4-Stroke-Adult-Size-Dirt-Bikes-p-236.html

Don't know what you have for scooters Ponce, but I imagine they're prett quiet.

Any way, for trail riding, incognito, you want quiet above all.

Good luck, and be safe!

When not in use the handle bars can store two additional rolls of TP. Don't tell me you didn't think about this already.

I think a dirtbike is an excellent idea, several things though.

1) No headlight, I'm sure you can find a good enduro for relatively cheap on craigslist in your area.

2) You can definitely find a 250 Honda or Yamaha for less than 1500. I don't have any experience with yours, but I do have experience with off brand 4 wheelers and go carts and they have ALL been pure shit on a stick. Which may not bother you since I know you have the TP for any situation. ;D

Not trying to rain on your parade because I certainly support the idea of a 4 wheeler or dirtbike SHTF or not.

make sure you immediately drain the shipping oil + clean the filter. then run it with new oil maybe 1 or 2 hours and do it again. i'd do it 3 times for good measure if it were me.

If she's a Honda knock-off then its probably got a Lifan engine whose parts are readily available and as easy to work on as a Honda.

I guess you have never heard the phrase "it fell apart like a chinese motorcycle".

Oh yeah... so Ponce, telling chicks about your TP collection would probably score some big points. I never tried it so I can't say how well it works.

I like the dirt bike idea. I have been toying with that one too. No place to put it right now. 200cc is more than enough power to move.

I just looked at the website... hmmm. I would buy a real one, not a chinese knock-off.

I'm getting a malware alert on the link in the OP. Just a heads up.

Interesting bike though. Chinese jobbie? I've looked around for a road trail cross for a while. Major brands are very $$ new. Even 2nd hand is pricey. I am waiting until the reality of the economy bites and everyone goes in to cut price mode. Hopefully it won't be long. I looked at the chinese brands which are very well priced but I just can't convince myself on reliability etc.

i'd like to get a motorcycle, but, a diesel motorcycle.

http://www.gizmag.com/go/4272/

but similar size to the DB_200A

http://www.dieselmotorcycles.com/military.htm#bike1

diesel motorcycles haven't really caught on yet. i'm sure the military diesel ones are really expensive.
