i started stretching-as-yoga in 1996. it seems that i am forever stuck in the Ashtanga yoga primary series, which is not a bad place to be.
wait till you are taking a yoga class and you see a woman like Zlata ... and she's wearing a feminine pad ... with wings sticking out of the leotard ... now that's distracting.

Absolutely recommend. I just got that advanced yoga DVD, and was excited to find I could handle it. These lessons have helped me loosen a lost of scar tissue, and gotten rid of a lot of the inherent pains my body had. It's mostly a certain way of breathing (using the whole diaphragm) and then you apply light pressure to certain muscles by going into the different poses. Powerful diaphragm breathing while in poses will stretch the muscles from the inside out.
I liked starting with A.M. Yoga with Rodney Yee. It's got five 20-minute workouts on it (Standing, Forwardbend, Backbend, Hip Opener, Twist). This is where I learned most of the basic poses. Once I felt which areas each routine stretched, I immediately knew that it was something I needed. It is a good value DVD and will get you in shape to do the more advanced stuff. It makes your core stronger and more flexible at the same time. I did not realize just how much muscular holding I had until I started using this type of stretching to relieve it, and the difference is night and day. Rodney's Intermediate yoga is truly challenging and this advanced DVD that I have posted is quite advanced in my opinion. Rodney has translated all the poses into english (it is called 'relaxation pose' instead of 'Savasana') and is very clear about how to get the most out of each pose.

I can't tell you how much better I feel since I have started doing this stuff. Do you have any specific questions about it? I have been practicing everyday for about a year.

all religions are evil but "mine" is exactly why they will all disappear at some point, should we ever make it through WW4
you want darwin, then be destroyed
it is not the fittest, nor the most intelligent that survives, but the most adaptable to CHANGE. I stand ready ;D and of course ((they)) know this... and have created dogmas to cause changes by destruction. God is Energy, period, and this Energy flows in everything and more concentrated in the endocrine system, called chakras india. So this debate is just semantics
to avoid stagnation - remain adaptable - is the best way is to embrace mind expanding... sticking to one's bandwagon or groupthink = one is doomed.
