Wow - they claim that the oil has not been contained, and is still gushing out as much or more than before. Yikes, if this is true, I can't even begin to imagine... :o

I posed this question last week. More and more stuff about the Atlantic current shutting down is being discussed.

There is virtually no discussing of this mega-disaster from the media.

Why would the corporate media shed any light on this? The corporate media is not on the side of the people, it exists solely to serve the corporations - that is the nature of it.

Yeah it's like business as usual, this is old news, might as well have never happened.

Having left the gulf coast earlier in the year, I'm still amazed at the amount of apathy and total lack of concern from the very people living right next to it.

Biggest oil spill in history, and la...da..da.....everything is well. Anyone asking where's the damage? I would have imagined that the shoreline would have been inundated with wash-up for years, but I guess when you dump equal parts Corexit into the mix.....outta sight, outta mind.

I firmly believe that at some point in the future this will be front page news again, for one or more of several reasons. I envision something along these lines...It will actually be too big to hide away anymore and they will claim a mass rupture or some such or blow it up themselves if a grand misdirection/false flag is needed. Why let a perfectly good disaster go to waste?

I have loved the Gulf since I was a very small boy.

I live near the gulf coast now.

We moved back here before the spill. I have not been eating fish, fishing, swimming, on and on and it sucks.

I think one can add LATOC to the list too ximmy
They had the best hour by hour run down and image capture recording of the camera feeds, once mentioned by a congress-critter as being a pain.

An example I googled up:
Meltdown over at LATOC forum (http://peakoil.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59857&p=1017229)

Hey dor. What did I miss? If anything.

Nothing other than about 30 threads about why the Gulf of Mexico spill was going to end the world, including stopping the gulf stream and freezing Europe to death.
And another: monkeyfister.blogspot (http://monkeyfister.blogspot.com/2010_05_23_archive.html) (notice all the "via LATOC FORUM")

Why is it that I can never get them to try a simple solution like this first. You can even reclaim most of the oil after you extract the hay with nets.

I believe that the gulfstream is severly weakened due to the thermohaline belt being clogged up by all this shit.. this might also be the reason for the extreme weather in certain parts of Europe.. what is strange though is that Denmark and Britain seem to be having a lot more snow than Norway this winter. :conf:
